“Now, now. You don’t have to fret,” he said. “I’m not here to cause you any harm. If you just tell me where she is…”
“She’s dead!”
The mysterious man froze.
“You don’t realize she’s dead? It was five years ago…”
“She’s not dead. I’ve been seeing her for the past six months.”
“She was in that car accident five years ago! You were in the car with her! I don’t know how you survived…”
“… Maybe so…”
“Look, you can’t seem to get it through your head, can you!”
“Maybe I can’t! And maybe you can’t get it through your head that I am still the biggest threat to your life!”
“What does it matter!”
The man chuckled slightly. “And you… proclaiming to be my brother… It could be true; but then again I don’t remember anything. All I know is my name, her name and yours. And soon I won’t remember anything at all. But I’ll tell you this, Mikey… I have no brother…”
