When it all falls apart

Xiomara P.O.V:

"I'm gonna go get coffee with John and David we'll be back in a couple minutes" Vince said

"Okay" I whispered back

"Love you honey" he said before giving me a peck on the forehead

"Love you too" I said and watched him walk out the door

I sat on my bed wondering if today was my last day and if it was then I would be just fine with that even though a couple months ago I was stuck with Carlos. I wasn't now and I had found happiness with Vince and my daughter and I could finally enjoy life. Spain would be in great hands with either Vince or my mother and I am certain that they both would do what was best for my people. As for my family and friends they would be sad but they should know that I wouldn't want any of them to be depressed or feel like it was their fault, and that I would be watching over them.

I got up and walked towards the windows and started to hum to I don't love you by My Chemical Romance, when I felt this throbbing pain in chest and I fell to the floor

"Xiomara, It's time for your..." The nurse stopped mid sentence when she saw me on the floor, she walked towards me and helped me back onto the bed

"Call Vince" I whispered to her, she nodded and ran out the room

"It looks like my time has come" I whispered to my self and looked up at the ceiling

Vince P.O.V:

We had decided to walk to Dunkin' Doughnuts since it was only 4 blocks away from the hospital and we where in line to buy our coffee when my phone went off I reached into my pocket and took my phone out

"Hello" I said

"Vince, sweetie we're on our way to the hospital and we picked up Maritza as well"

"Okay, mother I'll see you when you get there"

"Love you honey"

"I love you too mother"

I pressed the end button and and walked up to the cashier to order. We were walking back to the hospital with coffee in hand when my phone rang again

"Hello" I answered

"Vince, this is Julie from county you have to get back to the hospital immediately"

"I'm on my way" I replied and closed my phone "We need to get back to the hospital now" I say to John and David

"Lets go" they say and throw their coffee in the garbage and I turn and do the same

We start running down the street when I remembered that my parents where on their way to the hospital so I took my phone out and called my mother "Hello, dear" she answered

"Mother are you close by to the hospital?"

"Yes, about 10 minutes away"

"Tell the driver to let the stars shine and then have every one including you put their seat belts on"

"Okay, I'll see you their mijo"

"Bye" I said and snapped my phone shut

When we got to the hospital I sent David ahead to see what floor the elevator was on. "It's on the 22nd floor" David said and then started jogging back to us

"We don"t have time, we"ll have to take the stairs" I say and started to run towards them

~*2 minutes*~

When we get to Xiomara's room I started to cry uncontrollably "Vince" I hear Xiomara whisper my name

"Yes, love" I say to her as I walk towards her bed

"Can you give me one last hug?"

I lay down next to her and hold her as close to me as I possibly can

I turn towards the doctor and ask "why aren't you doing anything?"

"She's a DNR (do not resisitate) Vince"

I close my eyes tight and let out a deep breath

"I love you Vince" she says to me

"I love you too Mara"

"Can I have one last kiss?"

I give her a sad smile and then I say "Of course" I tilt her chin up and I gently kiss her

"Good bye, Vince" she whispered to me

"Good bye, my love" I whisper to her and as she closed her eyes I held her close to me and cried. For I have lost the one woman that I have ever truly loved
