You Rock My World, Kid!

We laid there for awhile, neither of us saying anything. Both in deep thought. Finally I heard him sigh. “What are you thinking about?” I asked looking up at him.

“Just taking this moment in.

I didn’t think this would ever happen. In a way I’m glad you ran into my locker, and then again I don’t like the fact you got hurt. I know I’m a dork.”

“Yes, it’s true you are dorky but in a really cute way.” I couldn’t help but laugh.

“I’m glad I ran into your locker, even though I hurt myself. If I hadn’t we wouldn’t be here right now.”

He kissed me, I couldn’t get over how warm he was. I felt safe, like nothing could happen to me. I was in fact on cloud nine. I felt completely fearless. I slowly felt myself drifting away, letting his heartbeat be my lullaby.



When I woke up, Emery was sitting beside me, staring off across the lake.

"Emery?" I sat up beside him."You okay?" He turned and smiled at me.

"Yeah, babe I'm fine." He said with a smile. "I'm the happiest I been in a long time."

He stood up, and helped me up off the ground.

"Let's get you home, it's pretty late." Emery picked up his jacket and put or around me. It was kinda chilly.

We got in his truck, and he gave me the most gentle kiss.

We pulled up to my house. Jada was already home, but I knew she wasn't asleep. I know

she is waiting to hear about my night. Jada was pretty much my sister.

Emery got out, and walked around to the passenger side, and opened the door for me. Which I have to admit, it really impressed me.

He walked me to the door. I went to hand his jacket..."Keep it." He said smiling at me, but with sadness in his eyes.

"I can't, it's yours." I said trying to figure him out.

"I want you to keep it for awhile." He winked at me. With one more kiss, we said goodnight. Even though it was technically morning.

I walked inside, and immediately I was attacked by Jada.

"Oh. My. God. Kyra Skylar is so, so, amazing. Remind me to thank Emery."

I smiled. "I'm glad you had a fun night."

"Are you kidding me, it was perfect!!" Jada was still hyped up about the whole night.

"So, what happened with Emery and you? After you took off. I want details!! I been home forever waiting to hear it all."

"Okay, okay calm down I'll tell you everything just let me go get comfortable." I walked back into the living room, and sat on the couch, Jada handed me a drink.

"so get on with it, already I'm tired of waiting." Jada made herself comfortable on our love seat.

I told her every little bit of what happened. About the lake, the kisses, his heartbeat and falling asleep on him.

"So romantic! Who knew Emery was that kinda guy." I could tell Jada was happy for me.

"Yeah I know right? I still can't believe it all. And it was all happening to ME." I couldn't stop smiling.

"Oh, and he said he wanted em to hold onto his jacket, when he walked me to the door."

"Kyra this is like something from a movie, it's insane" "I know, I can't wait to talk to him later on today." I said well yawning.

"Come on Jada, we need to crash. It's late." I said getting up ad walking to my bed room.

"You right, I'm just still so ecstatic about this fairytale of a night." Jada followed up the stairs.

"Welp night sis." Jada skipped off to her room.

"Night Jada."

I just couldn't believe this 'fairytale night' either. I couldn't wait to see what happened next.

I climbed into bed, with nothing but Emery lingering in my thoughts. I never thought this would happen.

Few hours later Jada came and knocked on my door, asking if I was awake. Pulling the cover from over my head I replied. "I am now..."

"Morning Sunshine! Get up. Check your phone." I grabbed it off my night stand.

"Awe. Emery sent me such a sweet text!"

'Morning Gorgeous! Hope you slept well, I know I did. All I could dream about was you.

Text me when you wake up.I'll be waiting.'

"Skylar sent me one similar to that too. They are so cute." Jada jumped up and down on my bed.

"I can't wait to see Skylar again. So you gonna text him back?" She already knew my answer.

"Hell yes I am! I can't wait to see Emery either. So breakfast? I'm starving." I already had a huge smile on my face.

"Sounds good I'm hungry to, ohhh lets go to the Diner!"

"Alright I'll meet you down stairs in a little bit." Jada ran to go get dressed.

I picked my phone back up and sent Emery a text.

'Going to the Diner to get some breakfast. I had a blast last night, I hope we go out again soon.'

I get dressed and went downstairs to meet Jada, who was already waiting in the car.

We drove to the Diner. Got settled and ordered our food.

"I still can't believe what happened last night, it just doesn't seem real, ya know?"

"Jada I don't think we'll ever get over last night. Your right though, it doesn't seem real."

We finished up, and headed back to the house.When we pulled up to the house, Skylar was sitting on the steps.

"Jada, looks like your boyfriend couldn't wait to see you either." I couldn't help but giggle cause it was really sweet for him to wait, and my best friend, my sister deserved him.

"Ahhh! Isn't he the cutest thing ever?" Jada jumped out of the car, and ran to greet Skylar.

I couldn't help to think about where Emery was, and why he hasn't called or text me back, I'd be lying if I said it didn't worry me.
