~Three years later~
I reached over and grabbed my girlfriend's hand. I was one-hundred percent serious about her. I haven't felt this way since... well you know. I had one year of college left. I can tell you I matured a lot. Cassidy and I never worked out, no matter how much she wanted it to work. i just couldn't get it to. Cassidy and my roommate met a while ago and have been dating ever since. Me? well I was dating the most beautiful girl in the world (well the second most beautiful girl in the world), Kelsey.
"I love you" I said in a soft tone, she smiled at me "I love you too"

My cell phone rang. It was Ricky. I answered "Hey georgous" he said
"Hi baby"
"I was wondering if I can take you out for dinner tonight?" he asked.
"Of course!" I said with a smile
"Pick you up at 7?"
"Sounds great" I replied
"I love you" He told me " I love you too" I said back
Ricky was my boyfriend, has been for almost a year now. Things were going surprisingly well since Nick left. Haley and I decided to move in together. I felt happy
"Hey D, going on a date tonight?" She said to me
"Yeah" I said sticking my tongue out at her.
"Now don't get home too late honey" She said jokingly
"Oh shut up" I said as I laughed.
"D, I know you are going to hate me forever when I ask you this but I really want to know, do you.. you know miss him?" She said softly
"Haley" I hated when she talked about him to me
"I just want to know D" she told me.
"I mean yeah I guess."
"I miss you two together D, that was true love and I think true love never dies"
"Obviously it does"
"Are you sure?" She asked
"What are you up to?"
"Oh nothing" she looked at me and walked upstairs
What the hell is she talking about?
My phone rang
"Hello?"
"Hey D, do you want to get some lunch??" It was Kevin, Nick's brother. Kev and I became pretty close when Nick left, he seemed to understand me.
"Sure, I can pick you up if you like?"
"Sure, see you in a few"

Kevin and I went to go get sushi, that was one thing we bonded over, especially since no one close to us liked sushi.
"So, is there anything you'd like to talk about?"
"No not really" I said in a soft voice
"Are you sure?"
"Well, have you heard from Nick recently?"
"Yeah I have"
"Hows he doing?" I asked.
"He's good, he actually asked about you just the other day"
"Did he now?"
"Uh huh" Kevin mumbled as he shoved another California Roll in his mouth
"What about me?"
"Maybe you should just call him D"
"No, I can't"
"Just call him and see how he is"
"I don't want to"
"Why not?"
"We haven't talked for years and it's not like he ever bothers to call me" I said
"Call him right now."
"Kevin!"
He took out his cell phone and dialed a number. Kevin said hello to the person on the other line, most likely Nick, and he handed the phone to me. I refused it but Kevin put it to my ear.
I felt sick and didn't say anything until I heard his voice
"Hello?"
