Addicting Emotions

*Evelyn’s POV*
I woke up to the sound of birds chirping and the sun coming through my window, well that and mom was standing in my door with the egg timer. I groaned and pulled myself into a sitting position, rubbing my eyes I said sleepily
“ok I’m awake” mom grinned
“good, have to get up and get ready, plus I’m leaving in 40 minutes so if you want a lift to school then you had better hurry” I watched as she left and went down stairs before I dragged myself out of bed and grabbed an outfit before walking to the bathroom and showering, dried my hair and dressed (http://www.polyvore.com/23.03.09/set?id=7425408) then packed a bag with some binders, pens, pencils and a notebook before heading down stairs and sitting at the kitchen table where mom set a bowl of cereal and a muffin down in front of me and drank her coffee while I ate.
I finished and grabbed a to-go cup of coffee and followed mom out to the car which was a 2008 Volvo C30 (http://www.autoscraze.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/volvo-c30-coupe-best-affordable-tech-car.jpg). I climbed in and she started the car and we headed into town in search of the school, eventually we hit a road that a lot of cars seemed to be going down so we followed them and found the school.
I leaned over and hugged mom saying
“have a good day at work and don’t let any doctors tell you what to do” mom laughed
“honey they have to tell me what to do, im the receptionist” I rolled my eyes
“exactly, you tell them what to do!” mom laughed and shooed me out of the car so I got out with a laugh and shut the door, waving as she left the lot.
I smiled to myself and turned around to head into school but stopped in my tracks, everyone was looking at me which was really creeping me out; they had literally stopped what they were doing and just looked at me. I sighed and hitched my bag higher and headed towards the building. When I reached the stairs I heard someone call my name so I stopped and turned around to see Bella waving and making her way towards me with an auburn haired pale man behind her, I guess he was her boyfriend; they look good together.
I waited as Bella reached me and grinned
“hey you ready for your first day?” I sighed with a smile
“I was until I because an amoeba” she raised a brow in question and I swept my hand to encompass the people that were still looking at me, Bella nodded in understanding
“yeah this happened when I moved here” I tilted my head and looked at her
“you aren’t a native?” she laughed as did her boyfriend
“umm kind of I mean I was born here but my parents split and mom moved me so I visited for a while before I stopped then mom got married and I moved back”
“don’t you like the guy?” she shook her head
“oh no I like him it’s just that I wanted to give them some space” I nodded
“ok, umm do you know where the office is?” she grinned
“yeah I’ll show you, oh yeah this is Edward, my boyfriend” she held out a hand and Edward took it and smiled down at her adoringly, oh yeah they made a good couple. The guy looked at me and smiled and I wondered if he read my thoughts, I narrowed my eyes a little but otherwise smiled back and held out a hand
“nice to meet you” he took my hand and shook it, it was cold and hard but that could be the weather
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Bella told me about your run in at the store” I laughed as we walked
“yeah umm that was cool”
We reached the office and Bella nodded towards the door
“go in and tell them who you are and I’ll wait out here for you, I wanna know what classes you have” I nodded and walked through the door leaving them there.

*Bella’s POV*
“she seems nice” Edward said and I grinned
“I told you” he nodded
“yeah she even thinks we are a good couple, no thoughts of me but that, though she did think I was reading her mind” I laughed
“you are Edward” she smiled then frowned
“yes but she isn’t supposed to know, she’s smarter than she seems” I rolled my eyes and Edward groaned
“oh I didn’t mean it like that, it has nothing to do with her looks, she just doesn’t give off that smart vibe” I sighed and rubbed his arm
“don’t worry Edward, anyway I want to make friends with her, do you think she could sit at our table?” Edward hesitated so I pouted and he caved, ahh it works every time
“ok but it’s not my fault if the others don’t like it” I nodded and leaned up to kiss his cheek
“that’s fine honey” I then stood against the wall and waited

*Evelyn’s POV*
I had told the secretary who I was and waited while she found my paper work and schedules. She came back and handed me a class list and a locker number
“you’ve been put in some senior classes because of your grades from your last school” I nodded and walked out to find Bella leaning against the wall while Edward stood in front of her in a protective stance, it made me smile. Bella saw me and moved away from Edward and took my list of classes. She whistled lowly when she saw my classes
8:30- First Bell
8:30- 9:15 1st period- Algebra (Senior)
9:20- 10:05 2nd period- Economics (Senior)
10:10- 10:55 3rd period- Advanced Biology
11:00- 11:45 4th period- Trigonometry and Statistics
11:50- 12:30 Lunch
12:30- 1:15 5th period- Advanced Chemistry
1:20- 2:05 6th period- Writing/Composition
2:10- 2:55 7th period- Physical Education
3:00- 3:45 8th period- Literature (Senior)

“You are really smart aren’t you?” she asked and I shrugged
“I guess, I always learned fast and well I guess I just get the grades” she nodded though still in shock and handed me back my list and Edward put a hand on her shoulder and smiled at me
“well we’ll see you in Biology later, Senior Algebra is down the left corridor and 4 doors on the right” I nodded
“thanks, I’ll see you later” I hugged Bella who snapped out of it and hugged me back before I strolled off to class.
I got to the room just as the bell rang and walked over to the teachers desk, they looked up and peered at me over their spectacles
“yes?” he asked and I handed him the note the secretary gave me explaining who I was. He read it and then handed it back and waved me to a seat which was next to a blonde girl who rolled her eyes at me. I took my seat and got out my notebook and a pencil, the teacher got up and started writing equations on the board and told up to copy them down and solve them. I glanced at the board before writing down the sums and solving them quickly, when I finished I put my head in my hand and started doodling on the back page of my notebook.
I heard someone pst a couple of seats down from me so I looked up and saw a muscular guy with black hair smiling at me, he had the same eyes as Edward
“hey, you’re Evelyn right?” I nodded and he grinned
“Bella told us about you last night” I nodded
“I’m guessing you’re Edwards brother or something” the blonde snorted
“yeah or something” I raised a brow but didn’t comment, the guy started speaking again after shooting the blonde a look which clearly said be good
“well I’m Emmett and that’s Rosalie, why aren’t you doing the work, stuck?” I shook my head
“no, I finished it already” Rosalie raised a brow and Emmett leaned over her desk to grab my book and he looked it over before whistling
“damn, that was fast and I don’t even see any notes” I shrugged
“I’ve done it before”
“oh yeah where are you from?”
“Rochester New York” Rosalie perked up and turned to me slightly shocked
“Really?” I nodded
“yeah I had to move here though”
“why?” I shifted in my seat
“family stuff” she nodded and asked
“so what’s Rochester like?” I heard more than just normal curiosity in her voice but I ignored it and answered
“it’s the same as it has been, high class and expensive with everyone vying for a piece of real estate there” she nodded with a smile and went back to filing her nails, I didn’t know but I think I was lucky that she was at least nice to me, Emmett seemed stunned as well but he just smiled and asked
“so what have you got next?”
“Economics with the seniors” he raised a brow
“you’re only a junior right?” I nodded
“yeah but I’ve got some classes with you seniors, how’s it feel to have a younger person in your class?” he laughed
“I don’t care but I think some of the others in the class are jealous that a younger girl did the work faster than them” I looked around to see some giving me the evil eye and I simply raised a brow at them letting them know I saw them looking. I looked back at Emmett and he laughed
“oh yeah I think you’ll do well” I shook my head with a smile and went back to doodling in my book until the bell rang.
I stuffed my notebook in my bag and swung it over my shoulder and walked out of the room where Rosalie and Emmett were waiting.
“well we don’t have Economics now but we’ll walk you there” Rosalie said and I smiled my thanks and again I got the feeling that I was one of the few she was nice too which was backed by Emmett’s shock as he followed.
As we walked Rosalie asked more about Rochester and then we got into my outfit and hers until we reached my class room.
“Ok here you are and just ask the teacher where your next class is” I nodded and thanked her before going in and sitting down waiting for class to start.
I the bell rang again and I got to my feet and asked the teacher where Advanced Biology was and she kindly pointed out that it was clear across the building meaning I would have a ways to walk. I sighed and walked out the door and made my way to the other side of the building. As I walked people stared at me like I was a circus act and it was starting to get on my nerves, by the time I got to Biology I was ready to poke the student bodies eyes out.
I explained who I was to the teacher and he told me to sit down behind Edward and Bella who were smiling at me. The others in the class were staring at me still and I growled mentally and pictured the many ways I could blind them and I heard Edward laugh in front of me. I turned to him and glared but he held his hands up still laughing
“I’m sorry but you look like you want to gouge their eyes out” I narrowed my gaze again and once again wondered if he could read my thoughts but I rolled my eyes instead and huffed
“do they have to stare? I mean come on I am not all that interesting am I?” Bella grinned
“Well for a town that hardly see’s action” she and Edward exchanged a secret glance that spoke that while the town might not, they did “well they don’t get anything so a new person is like really big news” I sighed
“well if I run someone over that would be bigger news wouldn’t it?” Bella stifled a laugh and Edward grinned openly
“I’m pretty sure that would still make you news” I sighed over dramatically
“oh well then, I guess I shall have to bear it” Bella shook her head and turned around as the teacher started talking. I was sat by myself and he told us to get a text book out and complete the questions on pages 24 to 28. I raised my hand and asked
“can I have a book please?” he searched for one but couldn’t find one but Bella turned around and gave me hers with a smile and said to the teacher
“it’s ok, she can borrow mine and Edward and I will share” I thanked her and so did the teacher before I got on with the questions. They were simple questions on the various systems of the body and I worked through them quickly especially as all of the information is already in the book if you just look for it and in half an hour I had finished the 4 pages and started looking around in my bag for a piece of bubble gum. When I found one I popped it in my mouth and started chewing until it was stretchy enough before blowing a bubble.
The teacher looked up and asked
“ok who did that?” I looked down at the book innocently and the teacher looked around suspiciously before going back to marking some work. I grinned to myself and started chewing again until I blew another bubble and popped it. The teachers head shot up and he glared at the class, standing he asked
“ok I want to know who did that and I want to know now before someone is in trouble. I rolled my eyes and held up my hand, he glared at me and demanded
“why were you chewing gum?” I stood and said in a low, calm voice
“I was chewing gum because I recently broke my jaw and the muscles need to be worked back into shape” the teacher had calmed at my voice and he nodded
“ok then, I guess you can keep chewing” I sent him a dazzling smile and sat back down.
The bell rang shortly after and I walked out the door with Edward and Bella close behind, Bella put a hand on my arm to stop me and I turned to see her concerned face
“how did you break your jaw?” I grinned and laughed a little
“I didn’t” she looked confused so I explained
“I didn’t break my jaw I just said that so I could chew gum” she was shocked
“but you sounded so convincing” I shrugged
“it’s a talent, I’ve aways been able to get my way with things and get people to believe me, heck I got drunk at 13 in a high class club because I lied my way in” Bella was shocked and a little awed and Edward looked kind of confused and shocked at the same time. I smiled and patted Bella’s shoulder
“it’s ok, I promise never to lie to you, or well ok I might but not in the way I usually do in order to get you to believe something, I’ll lie like a normal person and even make it so you know I am ok” she shook her head and laughed
“yeah ok, so what have you got next?” I groaned
“Trigonometry and Statistics, I hate math” Bella laughed and Edward seemed to snap out of his thoughts as he smiled as well. The bell gave a warning and he smiled
“well your class is the 3rd in on the left down the next corridor on the right” I nodded and smiled at them before walking off.

*Bella’s POV*
I smiled as she walked away before turning to Edward who had a frown on his face, I reached up and traced the frown
“what’s the matter?” he took my hand and kissed my finger tips before replying
“her talent is very strong” I frowned
“what, is it like what yours was like” he shook his head still frowning
“no it’s more like Jaspers really” I nodded and looked at Evelyn’s retreating back
“well she’s not dangerous and she’s nice, anyway if she has a talent that strong then you guys need to keep an eye on her because something like that you can bet Aro will want” he nodded absently before smiling down at me and kissing my cheek, he tugged on my hand and said
“come on, we have a class to get to”
