I wasn't going to The Bovine tonight. I felt no need or want to. I wondered why I even bothered going there every Saturday... it seemed so stupid, so... preposterous. I decided just to sit at home and watch TV. As I settled down on the couch with a sigh, there was a knock on the door. I groaned and stood up. I made my way over to the door, unlocked it, and opened it. Mikey stood there all dressed up like he was going to a concert.

"Get dressed." he ordered and came in. I took a step out of the way to allow him to enter even though he wasn't invited inside.

"For what?" I asked.

"The Bovine." he went into my room. I quickly followed him to see him digging through my closet.

"What are you doing?" I snapped.

"Helping you." he tossed a plain black blouse towards me. "Go take a shower, you stink."

"I'm not wearing this! Its like I'm going on a date and I do not stink!" I scowled at the shirt in my hands. Mikey then tossed me my tightest pair of black skinny jeans, my only.

"You are." he replied and went deeper into my closet. "It smells in here!" he complained.

"With who? What the fuck?"

"You'll see." Mikey pulled out a pair of black skate shoes that I never wore. I frowned at my brother as he disappeared into my bathroom.

"Now what are you doing?" I asked. He poked only his head out from the door frame then brought out his hands with a straightener and make up.

"Giving you a make over." he smiled. My face fell. I hated make overs. Who was the lucky girl he was getting me ready for? Mikey wasn't homophobic but he wanted nothing to do with me with a guy. I'm not gay... denial.

We arrived at The Bovine and I felt incredibly confused as to why we were here. I mean, I thought I was going on a date... now I just felt stupid. I should be wearing my old ratty leather jacket and not dressed like this. Mikey did my eyeliner for me and straightened my hair for me. It was like we were sisters instead of brothers.

"I thought I was going on a date." I commented as Mikey pulled into a parking spot.

"You still are."

"With who?" I scowled.

"If you keep doing that your face will stay that way." he replied not even answering my question. I replied by giving him the finger. He just rolled his eyes and got out of the car. I followed suit. He locked it and we crossed the street to the old brick building where dozens of people stood outside and smoked in the cold night. Who was this girl Mikey set me up with?
