Before the Storm

Nick POV

"What about me and Jamie?" Heidi asked
thought i think she knew what i was about to say.

"Heidi............." I said speechless,
not wanted to tell her the dreaded downside.

"What Nick?" she asked now getting anxious.

"My manager say there is not enough room
for you and Jamie on the tour bus and that it
would be a distraction for me" i explained not
even looking into her eyes afraid of what i
might see. After a few seconds of silence i
looked up to meet her gaze. It wad a sight i
would never want to see again in my life.
She had a single tear running down her
face. I approached her to hold her tight i
was surprised to see her back away.

"Nick, what am i going to do? I cant take
care of Jamie by myself and i need you
more than anything" she said now tears
coming down heavier. I let out a sigh of
guilt and shame.

"I need you too and i love you so much
and im so unbelievably sorry that this is
happening. But listen i am going to come
back every two weeks to see you guys.
My mom, and brothers are staying here
and they said they will always be around
if you need them to help you or babysit.
Listen babe it will be okay, we can get
through this" i said wanting to scream at
the fact i had to leave two most important
things in my life for four months. I pulled
her close and held her tight.

"I love you" i whispered into her ear, then
kissed her forehead. "Always" i said waiting
for her to finish.

"And forever".

Three Weeks later
Heidi POV

Today was the dreaded day Nick left for the
four month tour with Miley. We had been
spending all of our time together to get as
much of it as we could. We decided not to tell
Jamie that Nick was gonna be gone because
i would just be a disaster. I was more worried
about Jamie than myself. It was going to be so
confusing for him not greeting his daddy at the
door at night. Nick was helping Big Rob load the
van while i watched from through the window.
Jamie was sitting on the floor watching Barney
when a advertisement for the tour came on.
"Momma its Dadda" he screamed excitedly
pointing at the TV.

"Yeah that is dadda" i said putting on a fake smile.
Nick walked back in slowly with his head down.

"Its time" he said quietly. Those two words were
like a hard punch in the stomach. I took a deep
breath and picked up Jamie.

"Alright Jamie its time to say bye bye to Daddy for a
little while" i said starring into he huge delicate eyes.
I handed him over to Nick.

"Hey Jimmi-Jam listen im gonna be gone for a little
while and im gonna miss you so much" he said tearing
up and kissing Jamie's head.

"Where you going Dadda?" he asked softly. Nick
looked up at me helplessly.

"I have to go be on stage and sing" he said holding
Jamie tight. Jamie smiled "Dadda's a rock star.We
could help but laugh.

"But Jamie i need you to do something for me
okay?". Jamie nodded and his little curls bounced
up and down.

"I need you to take care of mommy cause your the
man of the house while im gone. Okay?" Nick told him.

"Im a big boy" he answered.
Nick just looked at him with glossy and eyes and
kissed him multiple times.

"I love you buddy" he said.

"I'll miss you daddy" Jamie responded. Nick pulled
him for one last hug and held him tight for a minute or two.
Now it was my turn to say goodbye. He took my hand
and just starred into my eyes.

"Im gonna call you everyday and write you.
I love you" he said with so much emotion.

"Im not good at goodbyes" i said trying to keep it together.

"This isnt goodbye. I'll see you in my dreams" he
said and kissed me hard with extreme passion.

His hand relessed mine and he headed towards
the door. Before he shut the door her turned around.
"I will love you Always & Forever!" and blew me
and kiss and he was gone.
