The Times They Are A-Changin'

I yawned and smiled with relief when the movie was over, it was rather late and I was about to fall asleep, I had to extend my arm as far as could to reach the remote, Dean had fallen asleep half way through the move with his arm locked around my waist, I leaned forward and grabbed it, I turned the TV off and flicked the lights off before pulling covers over Dean and me and making myself as comfortable as I could without waking Dean and gradually felt my eyes grow heavier and heavier until I was fast asleep. I opened my eyes to the bright sun beaming in my window, during the I must have got the chance to turn around, but Dean’s arm was still around me, I yawned loudly and flipped onto my back, Dean’s hand was now resting on my scar, he began to wake up and smiled,

‘Morning sunshine’ he mumbled, I grinned,

‘Morning’ I chuckled, he sat up a bit and examined my scar once more, he ran his fingers over the stitches which made me flinch,

‘Oh my God, I’m so sorry, did I hurt you ?’ he panicked, I laughed and shook my head,

‘No but you have some damn cold hands’ I teased, Dean laughed once more revealing dimples, he looked at me and examined my face, I frowned,

‘What are you doing ?’ I asked, feeling self concesious, Dean smiled,

‘Nothing’ he murmured before sitting up completely and running his hands through his short brown hair, I began to sit up but found it difficult, Dean helped me and rested his hand on my shoulder,

‘Are you alright ?’ he asked, I nodded and dropped my head,

‘What’s wrong ?’ he asked, knowing there was something up, I shrugged my shoulders,

‘Nothing, it doesn’t matter’ I mumbled, Dean frowned as I looked at the ground, he stepped out of the bed and walked around to my side, he knelt in front of me and looked straight into my eyes,

‘Tell me, please’ he asked gently, I pursed my lips and looked at him,

‘Why were avoiding me ?’ I asked, when I asked I realised I did not want an answer, but it was too late now, Dean paused and rubbed his brow,

‘It was just…I…I'm not sure..…how…I…feel..’Dean mumbled, I looked at him waiting for him to finish, he just leaned forward and kissed me, I responded but pulled back very quickly,

‘Dean !’ I snapped, Dean looked at me and jumped up, he grabbed his jacket and shoes,

‘I have to go’ he mumbled, I tried to get up and fell over in pain, he ran over to me and helped me up,

‘I’m sorry’ he murmured, I relaxed back on the bed,

‘I know Ellen’s not here, I’ll come back later to help you’ he said and ran out the door, I was so confused and in pain I just cried.

Dean Pov

I was shocked by Addii’s reaction and knew that I had to get out of there, leaving wasn’t easy especially when I knew that she was in pain but I couldn’t focus or even think when I was there. I love Ace, or at least I thought I did but now I wasn’t so sure, we had been together for years and now I wasn’t sure if it was all based on convenience on my part. Addii was different from any other girl yet I still felt that strong pull towards Ace, she was my girl, she had been pregnant with my baby and up to a year ago I thought that I’d marry her. I walked out to the car and hastily got in the front seat and gunned the engine before pulling off and began to drive, I wasn’t sure where I was heading but that didn’t matter all I needed was space. I had been driving a little over an hour when my phone began to ring, picking it up quickly I saw Addii’s name, I sighed before answering.

“Hello” I said,

“Dean, I’m not sure what just happened but I don’t think it should happen again, you're with Acelyn, and I just don't think it would be fair on her.” Addii stated, I frowned slightly before nodding even though she couldn’t see.

“I really like you, and I needed that to try help me work out my feelings for you,” I explained, I heard Addii’s ginger chuckle.
“I’ll come over in a while and we can talk,” I said with a small worried smile, scared of what I would have to tell her.
