Rain That Covers the Feelings

I woke the next morning in a bed I had wakne up in before. I looked around the room. My books were still on the same place. My Barbies weren't moved. My clothes in my closet were in the same order as I remember I had left them. I got out of bed and walked downstairs where I was greeeted by the smells of bacon and eggs and the smiling face of my dad.

"You're up so early."
"Yeah, couldn't sleep."
"Why?"
"Dad, I don't know. maybe because I'm back home."
"You're being a smart ass again."
"I've always been."
"True. Your brother will be here today."
"Oh cool. Listen dad, I have something to tell you."
"What?"
"You're gonna be a grandfather."
"My baby is having a baby?"
"Yeah."
"This is great news darling. The tennis hunk is the father?"
"That's the thing why I'm here actually."
"What do you mean?"
"It's not Andy's."
"Who's then?"
"Brendon."
"Brendon who?"
"Brendon Urie. From Panic! At The Disco."
"Never heard of them. A one night stand."
"A long story actually."
"I've got time."
"I have to meet up with someone today. Maybe when my brother is here also, I'll tell you both about my life."
"That would be great. We have a lot of catching up to do."
"Yeah. Listen, I'm gonna take a shower and then I'm going out."
"Wait young lady. Aren't you forgetting something?"
"What?"
"Breakfast, the most important thing in a day."
"Sorry day. I forget."
"You shouldn't now, seeing as you're now eating for two. I'll make some more eggs and bacon."

You have to love my father. He is so supportive even after the trick I pulled. He's the best dad a girl can ever want. I ate the breakfast and felt really good, but yet nervous about the meeting I had planned for today. I wonder how everything can happen in a second in your life. But I was ready after a long shower, hour of trying to figure out what to wear and thinking why he wants to see me.
