You Know My Love Is Always on Your Side

You'll Always Be My Sheila

Right before I got into my truck, I hear a loud HEY! I look in the direction it came from and saw my hubby and Bilko walking back this way.

“Where are you going?” Todd asked as I climbed inside.

“To see Katie,” I simply replied.

Todd looked at Bilko and just like that, I have two men in my truck. I sighed, knowing she wasn’t going to be too thrilled. But it’s her man. She should be happy to see him. Overhearing Bilko talk, it sounds like they haven’t seen each other since she stormed out last night.

We went to Bilko’s first. I mean it is logical to go there first. She lives with the man for god’s sake. But she wasn’t there. Putting my women intelligence to work, I figured Mr. Pastara would have a good idea where she might be.

“Are you back from your honeymoon?” he answered in his usual Travis way.

“No hello?” I asked with a smile.

“I figured you wouldn’t call just to say hi,” I could tell he was smirking on the other end.

“Where’s Katie?”

“With me,” he shot back quickly.

“Thank you Captain Descriptive,” I sighed.

“We’re at this course in LA,” he said, who I could tell was smiling.

Great! They’re an hour away. She’s so lucky she’s one of my good friends. I wouldn’t be doing this with anyone else… with the Aussie in my truck! But he was really… not Bilko. It was strange. You could tell him and his Sheila were having problems.

“Blakey, everything will be ok,” I tried reassuring him as I spotted the dirt bikes jumping in the air.

“I hope so, Molls. I love her so much,” he said sincerely as we climbed out of the vehicle.

As we walked closer to everyone, I could see Katie in the distance on Bilko’s bike? Either that or she was dropped from RedBull and magically got a sponsorship from Monster. I think I’m staying with Bilko’s bike though.

Travis was being his stupid normal self in front of the camera, causing all of us to laugh, but Todd just had to be the loudest. This caused Travis to stop what he was saying and came over to us.

“How was the honeymoon?” he smirked as he pulled me in for a hug.

“Not complaining at all,” Todd replied with a cheesy grin on his face.

I rolled my eyes as I heard Katie approach a ramp. Before she even started to flip, she was sailing in the air without the bike. I cringed as I watched her make impact with the ground and Travis went running to her side. Bilko was close behind him.

I looked at Todd and frowned. Behind his sunglasses, I could tell he was giving me a reassuring look. I hate seeing my little Aussie suffering. He’s such a sweet guy.

Todd leaned down and kissed the top of my head as he led me over to everyone else. They were watching Katie pull her ‘best trick’. This time she pulled it with ease. But something wasn’t right with her. Her knuckles were locked around her handlebars. That’s usually a normal thing if you’re on a different bike that is your boyfriend's! Working delicately, Travis was able to free her hands.

I couldn’t help but notice as she took her helmet off that her hands were really shaking. What is wrong with this chick? My heart went out to Bilko. His eyes just screamed concern, but Katie wouldn’t look at him. I think it made it worse that Special Greg came to her rescue, massaging her hands before kissing them. She thanked him and then kissed him on the cheek. I could sense Bilko tensing up next to me.

Travis went on to ask her a few questions, but they just mumbled into background noise as they walked off. Bilko shortly went after them. I wanted to do anything I could to fix things between him and Katie, but I had no idea what the hell was going on between them. Since the Aussie wasn’t giving me answers, I had to go to the other direct source.

She was talking to Jolene with her back towards Todd and I. Once she saw us, Jolene pointed, causing Katie to look behind her. Her face lit up as she came over, giving Todd and I both hugs.

“What is going on between you and Bilko?” I asked, just wanting to know what my little Australian buddy was going through.

She sighed as she ran her hand through her hair, searching for some way to respond.

“We’ve just been arguing. I don’t like it,” she finally pushed out.

“I’m pretty sure he isn’t too thrilled about it either,” I replied, noticing Bilko appear behind her.

“But I don’t even know what I do to make us argue. I know I start it. What’s wrong with me, Molls?” she asked, blaming herself for everything.

“Katie, it’s normal. Couple’s argue,” I smiled, seeing her so upset over something so little.

“But you and Todd never seem to be. You guys have like the perfect relationship.”

“There are a few imperfections there…”

Where?” Todd questioned.

I so wanted to smack him for saying that. He was just supposed to stand there and look sexy. There’s no talking involved there, hubby.

“See,” she couldn’t help but smile.

“Ok, that’s besides the point. The point is that you love your little Australian,” I smirked, more to Bilko than Katie.

My eyes were hidden behind sunglasses so she couldn’t tell that I was looking behind her.

“I do. I really just want to hear him say that I’m his Sheila. I love it when he says that,” she smiled.

“You’ll always be my Sheila,” he said, finally breaking his silence as he wrapped his arms around her waist from behind and planted a soft kiss on her bare shoulders.

“You still want me to be?” she asked as she spun around to look into his eyes.

“You’ve always been my Sheila,” he smiled as he kissed her forehead softly.

Aw, they’re too cute. Why can’t Todd be Australian and call me his Sheila? I always told myself that’s the only reason Todd isn’t one hundred percent perfect. He doesn’t have anAustralian accent.

So as you can probably guess by now, Katie and Bilko won’t stop making out. I still think it’s so cute. I’m telling you, it’s only a matter of time before we’re going back to Australia for another wedding.
