Jacob’s POV
When Kia kissed me on the cheek I was just about to take her in my arms and away from everyone else. I didn’t want anything to happen to her as long as I live.

Sam said it was time to patrol and it was Embry, Quil, and me.

When I changed it was quiet then I heard Embry’s and Quil’s thoughts.

I ran way much faster than I have ever gone. If thoses other werewolves touch one little hair on Kia I am going to rip their heads off.

I saw Embry crouched down on the ground.

I looked up and saw the two wolves then I saw a very white colored coat that belonged to Kia!

Why is Kia out there? Did you send her out there? How could you? She can get hurt! And-Jacob

I watched Kia stand looking at the two werewolves. They seemed to be talking to her, but the main thing was, what are they talking about.

But the big thing that got us was that the werewolves doing what wolves do to show respect. AND the wolf they were respect to was KIA!!

Kia’s POV

I went to sleep last night thinking of all the friends I had here celebrating my unknown birthday. I heard Jacob leave around 12:45am for patrol.

Around 4:00am I heard the noises of two of my formal pack. But these weren’t the people who want me back because I am royal, these were the sounds of my very two best friends.
I quickly changed into my wolf form and went to greet my friends.

We chatted a while then my two friends remembered what they were sent here for. They did the whole bow to royals then etc etc.
