Returning to You

Jessica’s POV
Brian and I were sat on the sofa for a while watching TV when Jimmy came in looking slightly sheepish, I raised a brow at his behaviour and Brian asked
“Jimmy, Man, what did you do?” Jimmy shuffled his feet a little and answered
“well I kind of rang the guys to tell them about why you didn’t come out last night and when I rang Matt Val overheard and is now in the process of coming round here to see you Jess” I groaned and sat up straight shoving a hand through my hair. Looking at Jimmy I frowned and scolded him
“you can’t eat round my house now, not ever!” Jimmy whined and I glared at him before I got up and walked to the door as the doorbell pealed through the house.
Opening the door I was tackled to the floor by Val who was ranting on
“oh my gosh I can’t believe it! You said he was creepy but I thought nothing of it, I should have being your friend and all but I just can’t believe it mean things like that don’t happen every day! He must be really crazy; he is in prison right I mean you have to make sure he goes down because if he gets out I’m going to go at him with Jimmy’s baseball bat!” I laughed and pushed her off of me making her land on the floor beside me, getting to my feet I helped her up and brushed myself off before I looked at her and said with a small smile
“Val, I’m fine really and he’s being detained at the police station, as to Jimmy’s Louisville Slugger, well I think he hid it” Val looked at me questioningly and I carried on “the police came round but this morning I saw him rushing into the bathroom with it” Val nodded and we walked into the sitting room where Jimmy, Matt and Brian were sat talking while the TV just played in the background.
Val walked over and sat on the arm of Matt’s chair though without looking he pulled her into his lap making her giggle and he leaned forwards and kissed her cheek. I went and sat in my previous place on the sofa next to Brian and I looked up at the TV seeing nothing interesting so I paid attention to the conversation going on around me
“we should have a party here to make up for last night!” Val said and I looked at her and asked
“why do you need to make up for it?” Val rolled her eyes playfully
“well you weren’t there were you! So we need another celebration ad it can be a ‘hey Jess is safe’ party as well” I giggled though Brian interjected
“hang on a minute, this is my place I think I should decide if there will be a party here” Val and I looked at him and I could see Val giving him puppy eyes while I just asked
“can we have a party please Brian, it would be fun” Brian looked down at me and gave in
“ok, so we need to go and get more alcohol because we don’t have enough” Val clapped excitedly and stood up
“yeah we need food as well, come on Jessica, we’ll get food and the guys can get booze” I nodded and stood up but I leaned down quickly and whispered in Brian’s ear
“get some Vodka and Sambuka for me” Brian made a disgusted face
“you like Sambuka?” I smiled
“definitely, well not the green one, yuck” Brian nodded agreement and I stood back up and made my way out of the house with Val.
Arriving back at Brian’s, Val and I piled out of the car and moved to the trunk and grabbed all of the bags loaded with food and hauled them into the house. Walking into the kitchen we could see that the island was overloaded with alcohol. I whistled
“how many people are coming to this?” Val looked and shrugged
“the guys, their girls, the Berry’s and their girls and well us” I raised a brow
“and they this much alcohol for that little people?” Val laughed
“honey you’ll learn that these guys can drink till they pass out” I just grinned and shook my head as I moved the beer to the fridge and made room for some food like chips/crisps etc.
Once everything was set out Val and I moved into the sitting room where we found the guys moving furniture to the sides of the room to make some more space. Val walked over to Matt and started distracting him while I just walked around looking for anything valuable and picking it up. Once I had I walked over to Brian and asked
“where do you want me to put this stuff?” Brian looked up and then at what I was holding and chuckled
“Jess you don’t need to hide the breakables” I shrugged
“I am anyway, I mean Jimmy sober is un-co-ordinated but drunk, I don’t wanna think of what he could do” Brian laughed and motioned for me to follow him as he walked out of the room. We came to the hall and he opened a closet and rummaging around he pulled out a box
“just put it in here” I placed all of the items in there and he closed it and put it on the top shelf in the closet before he closed the door and turned to me with a smile
“there you go, all safe” I chuckled and we moved back into the sitting room to see Jimmy messing with the stereo while Matt and Val were making out on the sofa. I chuckled at the sight before I sat on a chair and watched as Brian and Jimmy argued over the music.
People started arriving and I got to meet Lacey, Johnny’s girlfriend, who was a really sweet person. She told me that she had wanted to meet me since Johnny mentioned that I was back in town and that I had gone to school with him, then she asked if I had any dirt on him from school, I had laughed and shaken my head explaining that I didn’t hang out with them much but I said I would happily give her stuff on Jimmy and Brian to which she laughed and promised to take me up on that soon. We got to talking about the guys and stuff then Val had come over with Gena.
I had met Gena at the night we went to dinner but we hadn’t really talked so when she came over and Lacey and Val started talking, Leana was still away, I decided to get to know her.
Holding out my hand I smiled
“hello there, we met about a week ago” Gena looked down at my hand with contempt for a moment before she reached out reluctantly and shook it, I didn’t hold it long though knowing she didn’t like me for some reason. Gena plastered on a fake smile
“yes hello, I saw you, you came with Brian?” she asked and I frowned at her tone
“yes, he and Jimmy brought me, I had just gotten reacquainted with them really so they invited me out then they made it a band thing so I could see them all again” she nodded looking rather bored which offended me because of how rude she was being then she flipped her hair, cocked a hip, folded her arms and asked
“are you fucking Brian?” my mouth dropped open as did Val and Lacey’s who had heard. When I got my wits back I asked
“what?” she rolled her eyes
“you heard me, are you fucking him, god what are you retarded?” my eyes widened fractionally and I glanced at Val who was looking at Gena puzzled. I shook my head
“no I haven’t slept with Brian, what the hell are you implying?” Gena snorted
“that you open your legs for everyone, I heard about that Jacob guy you got sent to jail, you probably lead him on and called the police for attention!” I could not believe what she was coming out with
“you think I did that? Who the fuck have you been talking to? I’m not a whore, go look in a mirror if you wanna see one!” I was so pissed and my comment seemed to piss Gena off
“I have a boyfriend you slut! I don’t steal someone else’s” I threw my hands up in aggravation
“who the hell did I steal!?” I asked and Gena rolled her eyes again
“Brian of course, you stole him from Michelle” I rolled my eyes this time
“I didn’t steal him because they aren’t together you bleached bitch!” Gena sniffed and glared at me
“Michelle was close to getting him back then you come in the picture acting like a little lamb but you are a fucking slut!” I bawled my fist but before I could bring it up and smash her fake nose Val stood in between us and pointed behind Gena
“Gena I think you should go and be with Zacky right now, go” Gena glared at me one more time before she spun and flounced off to go and find Zacky.
Val turned to me and asked concerned
“are you ok?” I breathed deeply
“I will be when I’ve had a drink” she nodded and turned and started talking to Lacey again while I made my way through the house to the kitchen and I grabbed up the bottle of Sambuka I had asked for then grabbed a shot glass and poured myself one before gulping it down, the burn taking my mind off Gena. I took another shot then poured another when Brian walked in, smiling when he saw me as he walked over to the fridge
“hey there, why are you in here?” I put down the bottle and answered
“calming down” Brian looked back at me then pulled out a beer before turning and sitting at the island
“why do you need to calm down?” I glared at the counter before taking the shot then answering
“Gena just said some unpleasant stuff and upset me is all” Brian raised a brow before taking a gulp of his beer before asking
“what did she say?” I sighed and leaned back against the counter and folded my arms, I shrugged
“she was talking shit about how I’m sleeping with you and any man I can find then she was going on about how I was stealing you from Michelle” Brian frowned
“that’s bull shit!” I nodded
“I know which is basically what I told her after calling her a few names” Brian snorted
“no less than she deserved, god we all wonder why Zacky is dating her” I shrugged
“maybe he sees something the rest of us don’t” Brian raised his beer and drank some more before he stood and tugged on my hand
“come on, we’ll go out and hang with everyone before I either kick them out or they all crash here” I smiled at him, letting him drag me back into the party.
I fell exhausted onto the sofa next to Brian who was half asleep. Jimmy was cuddled up in an armchair while the Berry brothers who were nice guys had just slept where they had fallen, one on the coffee table and one on the floor. Val and Matt had gone into a room upstairs as had Gena and Zacky as well as Leana and Johnny, they were the smart ones really.
I looked over at Brian and shook him
“Brian, come on go to bed” Brian opened his eyes and yawned
“nah I’m comfortable here now” I chuckled and he looked at me with a sleepy smile. I pushed on him
“go on sleepy” he shook his head and grabbed me pulling me down with him as he laid back
“nah I think I’ll go to sleep here” he wrapped an arm around my hips and snuggled into my chest making me giggle, he was just ever so slightly drunk
“Brian let me go!” I wriggled a bit and he tightened his grip and mumbled
“just go to sleep Jess” I sighed and settled in for the night and closed my eyes with Brian’s arms wrapped around me.
Gena woke up thirsty, climbing out of the bed at Brian’s she padded her way down the stairs and into the kitchen grabbing a glass and filling it with water. She drank it down before she padded out of the kitchen but she saw the TV still on in the sitting room and went to turn it off but stopped short in the doorway at the sight on the sofa.
Brian and Jessica were curled up on the sofa with Brian’s head pillowed on her boobs. Jessica had her arms around him and you could clearly see they were both enjoying it. Gena glared at their forms and taking out her phone from a pocket she snapped a picture of them and sent it to Michelle knowing that her friend wouldn’t like this but she needed to see it, satisfied with her actions, Gena walked back upstairs and climbed into bed next to Zacky with a smug smile on her face, that Jessica was going to get it she thought as she drifted back into sleep.
