Don't Fall Unless Someone Is Willing To Catch You
Chapter 5
I glanced down at my feet quickly, trying to think of something to do. Just lay back and act cool, Amaya. Nothing to worry about. You are probably stronger than him.
I did as my inner thoughts said to. I ignored his comment, and took in his appearance. He had the same outfit as Ulquiorra, except his white jacket was open, revealing his bare chest, while his sleeves were rolled up a quarter inch. What stuck out the most was his eyes and hair. He had bright blue eyes with teal markings underneath, and baby blue hair. That is what had grabbed my attention.
I blinked. “What’s up with your hair?”
He scowled at me. “What’s up with my hair? What’s up with your hair?! It’s the color of puke!” He brought his foot up and smashed it onto my stomach.
I wriggled under his foot. “How the hell is pink the color of puke? What are you, a moron or something?! Oh, wait. I can answer that. Yes. YES YOU ARE!” He rammed his foot down on me harder. “You freaking idiot! Get off of me.” I reached back and attempted to grab his leg. Bad choice. He grabbed my arms and twisted them, pulling them back. “OW!!” I rolled forward, resulting in him stumbling ahead.
He glared up at me angrily and started to get up. I pointed a finger at him. “No, you stay down.” I squinted has he kept coming toward me, acting as if he hadn’t heard a word I said. “Does he not speak English?” I muttered. So I tried something new. “Meow?”
He stopped dead in his tracks. A look of rage flashed across his face. “I do NOT speak fucking cat!” He charged at me.
My eyes widened. “Oh shit.” Wait. I’m stronger than him. Just as he was about a foot away from me I sidestepped, and he flew right past me. He came back in my direction from behind. I swung around, swiftly landing a kick to the side of his face. He flew back, smacking a wall, and putting a huge hole in it. I watched unemotionally. This is very amusing. I think I could take a liking to him.
“You little bitch . . .” He climbed out of the wall.
“A bitch it a female dog. Oh, now I get it! You call me a female dog because you are a cat so that means you hate me. Very well put, kitty.” A grin formed on my face as I saw his irritated one. I about burst into laughter.
He ran at me once again. “My name is not fucking kitty! It’s Grimmjow you dumbass!”
I nodded my head and closed my eyes. “Nice to meet you, Grimmjow. My name is Amaya.” Suddenly I couldn’t see Grimmjow anymore, as my view was replaced by a white color. “Hello, Gin.” I said, a bit of unhappiness in my voice.
What do you expect? I was having fun and he came and ruined it all. I hadn’t even been out for an hour. “What are you doing here so early, Gin?”
“Well, my dear, it is time for ya to go back to your room now.” He turned his head
slightly, looking at me with a silly grin.
“But I’ve only been out here for ten minutes! That is way shorter than a ‘short period of time’! Besides,” I glanced at Grimmjow who was now only four feet away from me, “I was having fun.”
Gin turned around fully and looked down at me. “My Amaya-chan isn’t startin’ to take a likin’ to Grimmjow, are ya?”
“Quite frankly, I am.” I gazed around the hall. “At least there is some fun in this prison,” I mumbled.
Gin tilted his head to the side. “Aw, ain’ I any fun, Amaya-chan?”
I scoffed. “No.” Not anymore at least.
I could see that Grimmjow was thoroughly enjoying himself as he leaned back on the wall, crossed his arms, and just watched us bicker.
“Amaya-chan, that’s not very nice.” He said, placing a hand on my head.
I rolled my eyes and swatted his hand away. “Whatever. Let’s go.” I twirled around, heading in the direction of my room. I soon felt Gin following me.
“I’ll see ya later, kitty!” I yelled behind me, directed towards Grimmjow.
“I. Am. Not. A. Fucking. Cat!” He screamed. A smile broke out on my face when I heard his response. He is so hotheaded.

I sauntered around the room in circles.
“Now I'm crying out
Secret love, my escape
Take me far, far away
Secret love, are you there
Will you answer my prayer
Please take me anywhere but here
Anywhere but here.”
I sang, eyes closed, wondering aimlessly. I tried to keep my mind off Gin, who was still in the room, sitting on the floor.
“You're all I've got right now
No one else figures out this feeling
And how lonely it can get
These words can cut right through
Cause all along I've knew you're sorry
But you haven't said it yet
But now I won't forget.”
I broke off there, and just started to hum it. It feels weird for me to sing while Gin is in the room, listening. I wonder when he is going to leave. I mean, I know how to defend myself, I’m probably stronger than most of these string beans, but Aizen’s orders. Gosh, that’s all anyone listens to here. Aizen. Aizen-sama. Aizen-sama, let me be your slave. What the hell?!
I stole a glance at Gin. He had his eyes closed and was snoring quietly. Hah! Knew that would work. He always used to fall asleep when I sung before. Score for Amaya.
I crept towards the door softly, slipping through it easily. After I shut the door I stood there for a minute. How the hell can Gin be so oblivious to the fact that if he falls asleep I can simply escape my room? No. Jail is more like it.
“Why does it have to be me out of all people in the Soul Society? What is so unique about me?” I pondered the thought as I started to parade down the hallway in no particular direction. “Sure, I have no organ that operates my whole body, but that doesn’t give a reason for me to be special?” A laugh echoed the hallway, breaking me out of my trance. I gazed up to see Grimmjow at the end of the hallway. I grinned.
“Kitty!”
“I am not a cat!” He was already in front of my face, getting ready to push me. Before he could do anything I patted his cheek.
“Sure you aren’t.”
I went bashing back into a wall, thirty feet away from him. I could feel my back going from cold to hot, cold to hot, cold to hot. Instinctively, I reached towards my lower back. As soon as my hand made contact with my skin I knew there was something in it. Pieces from the wall. Stuck in my body. And now it’s bleeding like crazy. I coughed, and tried to get oxygen into my lungs. I staggered out of the hole and fell to the floor, my face landing so I was staring at Grimmjow. My eyes were getting heavy, black dots danced in my vision. Before I completely passed out, I shut my eyes and spoke to Grimmjow.
“Damn you, kitty . . .” Then I was tugged down into a dark abyss.
