For Alyss this is a horrific concept.
There are many things in her life that have affected her in a great way but none of them are anything she would want to write about... Let alone share in her class.
But after just letting loose and writting the truth Alyss is able to walk feeling a strange feeling of satisfaction.
Yes the truth should have been hidden under a lie, but it still would have been the truth unknown or not.

The true part of this story is the essay. All of the events the girl presents are factual and did actually happen. The character Alyss and her grade ten year are fictional and used to present the tru story.
