"ENOUGH" yelled Sam as he jumped between me and Jake, grabbing my arm.
He sensed I was about to attack the mutt across from me.
I glared at both of them, but went to go sit down next to Leah.
Jake sat next to Embry, yet again across from me.
"So can we get down to business?"
I nodded tearing my eyes away from douchebag across from me.
"We need to find clues to who took Carol"

Ah this subject again, I felt myself slowly raising from my seat, to hide away from the pain.
Leah grabbed my arm lightly, making sure I didn't move.
"She isn't a Cullen" said Jake.
"No, she's different from them, we've seen her before" I muttered.
"Where?" asked Embry, turning his gaze to me.
"That night during drill, remember?"
"Yeah, you almost had her down" said Seth, winking at me.
I laughed, for a kid he was adorable at times.
Emily came in with a huge pot in her hands, a smell of beef stew filled the air.
"Dig in" she commanded, sending me a small smile, she was having a hard time too.

I pushed my chair back, not really hungry.
Fresh air sounded nice, so I went outside. how long until the leech found me?
How long until she killed everyone I loved? how long did I have to live?
I sighed, leaning against the banner, looking at the sky which was dark and cloudy.
Of course, more rain to just pour on my day.
I felt a hand on my shoulder, turning to yell at who I thought was Jake.
It was Embry.
"I know you miss her, she loved you"
My heart squeezed, I didn't answer, not trusting my voice.
"We will find her"
I gave a little laugh, "Sorry to burst your bubble, we'll find her dead"
Embry gently lifted my chin, so that I was looking into his eyes, a warm purr exploded from my tummy.

"Are you giving up? what happen to the bad ass I know?"
I shook my head, a smile lingered on my lips, our faces were just inches away.
Someone cleared their throat.
I jumped back, acting like nothing happened.
Embry looked annoyed, a huff escaping his lips.
Jacob stood there, his face twisted with anger and shock, his eyes were black fire.
"Sam needs to talk to you" he snapped at Embry.
He nodded, then winking at me, he hurried into the house.
My gaze moved back to Jacob's face, he was staring at me, hurt in his brown eyes.
"Is that all you needed?" I asked him.
"Sam will be talking to you too" he turned away and walked inside.

"Taylor?"
"Yes?"
"Can I come see you?"
"Of course"

I heard the front door open, and Leah stood next to me.
"So is what Embry and Jacob are thinking, really happen?"
I nodded, biting my lower lip from laughing, remember Jacob's face.
She laughed, "Oh Jacob's furious"
"Of course he is"
Leah smiled at me, "Go for it, go on one date"
"Lea, I'm imprinted"
"But that doesn't mean you can't do what you want to"
I laughed, she knew me oh so well.

"Taylor, come here" I hear Sam order.
"Sam's calling" I went inside with Leah right at my side.
"You called oh fearless leader?" I asked, walking into the living room.
He nodded, Embry, Jake, and Quil were sitting on the couch arguing.
Embry winked at me as i passed him, following Sam out back, I heard Jake's voice erupt.
"We made hunting parties"
"Okay who am I with?" Hoping to god that ass face wasn't with me.
"Leah and Embry"
I silently prayed to god a thanks.
"But Jake's still going to be with you, since your the target"
My smile fell flat, should have know better.
"I'm now working with him again" a hint of anger in my voice.
Sam raised an eyebrow, "Your going to let him help you"
I shook my head, trying to resit the command.
Try being key word, I could resit it, not when the Alpha ordered it.
Turning on my heels, I stomped inside, grabbing my keys off the counter.

"Oh no the bitch has risen" said Jared, who was lying on the floor, I snarled at him.
Grabbing a book, I chucked it at him which barely missed him.
"I won't miss next time"
"Where are you going?" asked Quil, his face looked at me with concern.
"Out and about"
Embry stood up, "I'm going with you"
I smiled and headed towards the door, the room went silent.

"What is this?!"
"Holy flying pigs!"
"I'm ripping him apart"

I giggled as I walked towards my car, the safeness I felt left and the feeling of loneliness entered.
"Wow nice car, that's very attractive" said Embry, eying my car, as he got into the passenger seat.
I got into the drivers seat, "Embry you see it all the time"
The radio was blaring as song that made me freeze, was this a damn sign?

"Where are we going?" asked Embry, shaking me out of my thoughts.
"Oh on a hike" he didn't asks anymore questions, it was nice to have him around.
Leah's words from earlier rang in my ears, why not try and see if this could work?
But i wanted Jacob, but Embry was sweet.

"I'm only gonna break your heart"
My heart was already broken, so it would be okay.
