This Isn't Fair Anymore

Chapter 1

Jonnie’s POV:

I woke up at the sound of my alarm clock ringing next to me.

5:30 a.m.

I just lie here on my bed, staring at the ceiling then across my room. I lay there for the next fifteen minutes. Just thinking.

…thinking of him.

I sigh as I reminisce the happy moments we’ve spent together last school year. It’s sad how our relationship ended as fast as when it started.

I miss him so much…

“JOOOOOOOOOOONNIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!” I hear my brother yell at the other side of my bedroom door.

I stretched my arms lazily and looked at the time on my cellphone.

6:37 a.m.

“FUCK!” I cursed loudly as I got up from my bed and headed straight to the bathroom.

When I got out, I turned on my stereo and played a song.

Our song.

When I see your smile
Tears run down my face
I can’t replace
And now that I’m stronger, I’ve figured out

“Mimi, hurry up or you’re going to be late. It’s still the first day of school, you know.” My mom told me from outside of my room as I was changing into my school uniform.

How this world turns cold
And it breaks through my soul
And I know I’ll find deep inside me

“Yes mom. I’m already changing.” I replied hesitantly, just so I could get some privacy.

I knew I was going to be late if I would just stay in my room forever. But I don’t care. I love this song.

I can be the one

And so what if it’s the first day of school?
