Seize The Day

Emily's POV

Me and Zacky walked side by side, linked by the hands, up to my door.

The rest of the dinner went magically.

It was as if my little out burst never even happened.

Zacky and I talked about everything.

From our funniest childhood memories, to worst dates, to hopes and dreams.

He just made everything so easy.

I didn't have to force a laugh or smile.

I didn't have to pretend to be someone I'm not.

I could just be me.

I smiled as I thought about how Cynthia introduced us.

She knew I worshipped Zacky.

She also knows that they have quite a reputation.

The thing about Cynthia is she will know instantly if she will like you and become friends.

First impressions are everything to her.

I'm glad that she approved of Zacky.

If she didn't, she wouldn't let him go anywhere near me.

He really is a great guy.

He's sweet, caring, easy to talk to.

We reached my door and I stood facing Zacky with a huge grin on my face.

His brilliant smile flashed across his face and in the dim starlight I could see his twinkling eyes.

"I had a really great time." I said quietly.

I don't know what's going on with me.

I'm never shy.

This guy is doing crazy things to me.

"I did too. Thanks for agreeing to come with me." He said.

"It was my pleasure." I said.

"I hope we can do this again sometime." Zacky said, looking at me with hope in his eyes.

"Absolutely." I said with a huge grin.

Zacky grinned too and we stood for a moment just looking at each other.

"Did you want to come in?" I asked before thinking.

Zacky's grin grew wider.

"As tempting as that is, I think we should take it one day at a time." He said with an apologetic smile.

I nodded, grateful that he wasn't trying to rush me into anything.

I moved up one step and I looked down at Zacky with a smile.

I slowly leaned closer to him and pressed my lips gently on Zacky's.

The second our lips came in contact I felt like a wave of electricity shot through my body and I clutched on to him tighter.

I felt Zacky's arms go around me as our lips meshed into one.

It was a minute before we both pulled apart, completely out of breath.

Zacky leaned his forehead against mine and kept his arms tight around me to keep me steady and upright.

"Wow." Was all he said.

He took the words right out of my mouth.

When we were finally breathing properly I smiled.

"This has been an amazing night." I said.

"It's been amazing for me too. But I think I've left you standing out in the cold for long enough." He said.

He picked my hand up again.

He slowly broughtit up to his lips and softly kissed my palm.

He kissed each one of my fingertips gently, never taking his eyes off of mine.

This almost made me start hyperventilating and when he pulled away I couldn't help the pout that came on my face.

I wanted to pull him back into my arms.

Keep him here until I was ready to let go.

"I'll see you tomorrow." He whispered.

"Tomorrow. Night." I said.

He gave me one more smile before turning around.
