Running with Scissors

Inspired by the songs "Viva La Gloria? (Little Girl)" and "Viva La Gloria!" by Green Day, Ana is a young girl growing up in a poor neighborhood where women are often mistreated. After several years of growing up with no mother and with a family reputation of being "untrustworthy," Ana finally realizes that she's sick of the way she's being treated and (with the help of her childhood sweetheart, Andreas) escapes to the city to become a modern-day outlaw-waging her own war against society's views about the capabilities of women.
