I Love Clouds.

All You Need Is Love.

I knocked on his door. I knew he would be in, he always was. I watched as the door opened to reveal his mother who smiled warmly when she saw me. "Hello, dear." She greeted before moving aside to let me in.

"Hello, Mrs. Scott." I smiled back at her.

"He's in his room. Just go right up." I thanked her before moving to the staircase and continuing through the hallway I knew as well as my own before knocking on his door. It sounded like he had someone in their with him.

"Uh, just a minute!" He called through the door. I could hear him moving around frantically trying to hide whatever, or whoever, he was doing.

"Relax, it's just me." I told him. I heard an 'Oh' before the door opened to reveal him in nothing but his boxer shorts. "Nice to see you dressed up for once." I muttered jokingly before entering his messy room.

"Haha," he replied sarcastically before pulling on a pair on jeans. I moved over to his bed and sat down, watching as he did the same.

"Were you talking to someone? Do you have someone in here?" I asked when he had gotten comfortable.

"Uh, no. No one's in here. You see there's clever invention called a telephone. It enables someone to speak with someone else without being in their actual presence."

"Sarcastic bastard." I said smirking.

"So, how's things?" He asked, trying to make conversation.

"Since yesterday?" I asked biting back the laughter threatening to leave my lips.

"Ok! We see each other too much to have anything to talk about! I get it, you don't have to spell it out. You can go now." He said getting up. I couldn't help but laugh at that causing a smile to spread across his face.

"Sit down." I told him.

"No, no. I don't have anything to say to you!" He said looking dead serious but still, it was obvious he was joking.

"Shut up and sit down." He pouted but sat down anyway. "Why are you so happy?" I asked, observing as he laughed at his nails.

"Because I love clouds! They're so fucking fluffy." I just stared at him unamused. He looked at me and sighed in defeat before pointing over to the ash tray on his bed-side table. "Of course." I muttered before picking the joint up.

"That's why I panicked when you knocked on my door." He said, snatching the spliff from my hand.

"But she most know on some level, right?" I asked as he lit the joint.

"Yeah," He said taking a large drag from it "But that doesn't mean she's alright with. And it's best to keep her sweet, you know."

He blew out the smoke before holding it out to me. I placed it in my mouth before taking a drag and blowing out the smoke, coughing slightly. Alex scoffed before mumbling 'amateur' and taking the remote from his bed-side table and putting some music on. I groaned at his choice of CD before getting up and making my way over to his CD player.

"Em," whined from his seated position "Come back to bed." I stuck my tongue out at him before going to his CD collection and pulling a few discs out. "No, don't you touch those." He said leaping from the bed to his feet.

I quickly moved the CD behind my back to keep it out of Alex's reach. "Give it to me!" He exclaimed laughing.

"I would, but I don't think your mother would appreciate that under her roof." I teased him.

"Oh, I don't know." He mumbled before leaning down to bite my neck.

"Ah! Jesus, I was joking!"

"Oh," He said pouting.

"But you know I love you." I told him causing a giant grin to spread across his face.

"How could you not?" I merely stuck my tongue out at him before turning back around and rummaging through his CD collection. "How childish." I heard him say while my back turned. "Oh, and just to let you know, it's not mine, it's my sister's."

"What the hell are you on abou-" I stopped mid-sentence as I landed on a Britney Spears CD. "What's this?" I asked, turning back around to show him the pink cover.

"I already told you, it's not mine." I just stared at him showing my disbelief.

"I mean it's not like I listen to it. She's just hot on the cover." I looked down at the disc in my hand. Hot my ass, she looked like a twelve-year-old barbie doll.

"It's a classic!" I couldn't help but burst out laughing at his statement before throwing him the CD and turning back to find something
to listen to. After a couple of seconds I picked up a Beatles CD and placed in the disc drive.

"What's that?" I turned around to see him back on the bed playing with a blue bouncy ball.

"The Beatles." I told him before joining him on the bed. He scoffed before placing the joint back into his mouth. "What?"

"That's not the kind of music to get stoned to," He informed me, letting some smoke leaving his mouth. "I should know, I am the expert in this subject."

"Indeed you are." There was a slight pause as we both listened to John Lennon's melodic voice sing the chorus of 'All You Need Is Love' before I decided to continue. "Anyway, what do you mean 'it's not the kind of music to get stoned to'? Have you not listened to 'Strawberry Fields Forever'? There's no way they were sober writing that."

He shook his head before speaking "I don't mean the lyrics. What we should be listening is Jimi Hendrix. You know, something psychedelic but funky."

"Well, do you have any Hendrix?"He frowned staring at the chest of drawers where he kept his CDs.

"Um, no."

"Pff, what kind of expert are you? Don't even have the proper equipment." I said before laughing at him.

"Oh, you think that's funny?" He asked snapping his head to look at me. I only got the chance to nod once as Alex tackled me and pinned me to the bed. "Look who's laughing now!"

"Alex!" I shouted, still laughing. I don't know why I was laughing so much, must of been the pot.

"Emma!" He mimicked before suddenly turning all serious. My laughter ceased at the sight of his serious face.

"Alex?" I whispered, my voice sounding feeble even to me.

"Emma." He whispered back before leaning towards me. I was about to say his name again but was stopped when his lips covered mine. He removed his hands from my wrists and rapped his arms around my waist. I responded by rapping arms around his neck, pulling him closer.

"There's nothing you can know that isn't known.
Nothing you can see that isn't shown.
Nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be.
It's easy.
All you need is love, all you need is love,"

When he pulled away, he looked me in the eyes and said the three words we had always told to each other but, this time, they had a completely different meaning.

"I love you."
