Age Is But A Number

I was released the next day and I went to my house. Dad and Mom were so happy that I'd chosen to come home instead of Zack's. Drew came in the room with me and took care of me even when I told him I didn't need help.

"Haleigh I'm so glad you're home!"Mom exclaimed for the billionth time since I've been home. I smiled at her. Dad walked in and smiled at me. He came over and kissed my forehead and pulled a cd out from behind him. I grabbed it out of his hand and looked at it. It was a demo me and him had been working on before I found out Zack liked me.

I leaned up and kissed his cheek and clutched onto the cd. Fred Evan walked in and gave me a half smile. I smiled back at the little guy. The girls hadn't been here at all since I was released.

Everybody,except Drew, left my room. Drew put in the cd for me and it was me and Dad strumming our guitars.

Dad and I wrote that both thinking of different people. Dad wrote his part for Mom and I finished the song off with thoughts of Zacky.

"Drew get me a notepad!"I said suddenly. He got up and handed me my notepad. I grabbed the pen and began jotting down lyrics. I needed my guitar but I wouldn't be able to play it for a while. Until I was healed up.

There was a knock on the bedroom door and Drew opened it. Zack walked in holding pink roses. I smiled at him. He walked over and kissed my cheek. I wanted him to kiss my lips but I knew Drew would be very angry if that happened.
