Boyfriend's Ex Best Friend

Boyfriend's Ex Best Friend Chapter 22

“Hey,” I said sitting next to Max.
“Hi,” she said smiling at me.
“What’s up?”
“Work,” she sighed. “You?”
“Nothing, just wanted to ask you a question,”
“Shoot,”
“What’s up with you and Matt? Every time you’re around him you seem, I don’t know, tense,”
“Oh, no, it’s nothing, sorry if-”
“Liar,”
“Vi, there’s nothing,”
“Okay,” I said not believing her. “You can tell me anything,”
“I know, like now, I’m getting a coffee,” she said getting up.

Max’s Point Of View

I sighed as I walked down to get my coffee.
I don’t like lying.
I hate it, actually.
“Hey Maxine,” Matt called putting his around my shoulders.
“Hi,” I said smiling.
“What’s up?”
“Coffee break,”
“I’ll walk with you,”
“Yes!” I said grinning.
He laughed. “What’s good?” he asked.
“I’m going to ace my essay, if I ever get it done,”
“I believe in you,”
“Thanks. What about you?”
“I have a little surprise for Vi,”
“What?” I asked.
“Well, I wanted to get her something special, so I got her this,” he said taking out two tickets.
“Concert tickets?” I asked.
“Yeah, to Bon Jovi,”
“No way! I thought those were sold out!” I said.
“I have ways, Maxie. I have an extra one that I was going to sell online, but you can have it. Be our third wheel,”
“Thanks!” I said hugging him.
“No problem,” he said hugging me back.
“I didn’t know she liked Bon Jovi,” I said letting go.
“Vi is full of surprises,” he said. “That’s why I love her. I sometimes lie awake at night just thinking about how lucky I am. She chose me. Not Josh. I know she still has feels for him but I push that aside, even through I shouldn’t,”
“Talk to her,” I said.
“When?”
“After the concert,”
“What should I say?” he asked as I got my coffee, finally.
“Just tell her from the heart,” I said simply.
“Thanks Maximillion,” he said hugging me.
“Don’t forget about my ticket!” I called.
“I won’t,” he called as he walked away.
That boy is too amazing with a very cute butt.

Violet’s Point Of View

I sat on Max’s bed as I read my book for class.
I was too lazy to move.
My phone buzzed and I picked it up.
“Hello?”
“Vi, it’s me, Josh,” he sounded frantic.
“What’s up?” I asked worried.
“My mom is in the hospital,”
