Boyfriend's Ex Best Friend

Boyfriend's Ex Best Friend Chapter 23

“What?” I asked.
“Yeah, she, um…isn’t doing so well. She was sick for a while,” I could hear the struggle in his voice to keep himself from crying.
“Josh, I’m sorry,”
“It’s fine, I just needed someone to talk to,”
“Where are you? School?”
“Yeah,” he muttered. “I should be home,”
“No, you’re mom would want you at school. She wants us to be strong remember,”
“I know, I know,” he sighed as Matt walked in.
“What’s up?” Matt asked pulling me into his lap.
“Josh,” I whispered as Josh sighed again.
“Are you okay?” I asked.
“No,” his voice cracked.
“Josh, don’t cry…please…be strong for you’re mom. She’s being strong for you. She won’t leave us, it’s not her time,”
“I know,”
After an hour, Josh calmed down and we hung up.
“Hi,” I said lending against Matt. “Josh’s mom is in the hospital,”
“Is she okay?”
“We don’t know,”
“You still love him don’t you?”
“Matt…”
“It’s okay if you do. I get it,” Matt kissed my lightly.
“You’re not breaking-”
“No,” he grinned.
“Good,” I said hugging him.
He hugged me back and slipped something in my back pocket.
I pulled away and took out tickets to see…
“Bon Jovi!” I screamed.
“Surprise,”
I kissed Matt and hugged him tightly.
“Can’t breathe,”
“Sorry,” I said kissing him.
“Oh my gosh! I love you even more now!”
I did a little dance and jumped up and down.
Matt laughed as he watched me.
Later on that night the guys and I went out to the near by club, like I promised then we would do after I finished my school work.
We were out until one in the morning.
*****
The next morning I woke up next to a naked Matt.
I smiled as I wrapped my arms around him.
“Hi,” Matt said.
“Today is Bon Jovi day,” I grinned.
Matt laughed and rolled on top of me. “I know,”
I kissed him and he kissed back.
I pulled away and he rolled off of me.
We got dressed and did our work together.
Finally it was Bon Jovi time.
Max and I got ready together.
“Ready?” Matt asked walking in.
“Yeah,” we smiled.
Matt and I laced our fingers together as we walked to his car.

Thanksgiving break was finally here.
I was back at home with my family.
Matt and I hung out a lot more, since we didn’t have any school work.
I went over Josh’s house and was glad to see that his mom was doing better.
The week flew by and I was back at school.
The girls and I were talking when Matt came in, looking a little sad.
“What’s up?” I asked.
“Can I talk to you?” he asked.
“Sure,” I said taking his hand.
