Cross My Heart

Malfoy Manor

“I am Narcissa Malfoy.” Was the first thing Lorraine heard as she landed with a thump in the apparently large chimney, she looked up to meet eyes with a blonde woman, pale, green eyes, wearing dark blue robes. Narcissa Malfoy smiled un-emotionally down at Lorraine as she arranged her belongings together. “I’m guessing you must be Lorraine Owens?”

“Yes, Madame.” Lorraine smiled charmingly at her, remembering her etiquette classes. She couldn’t help but stare around a the living room, it was humongous after all; she thought she had never seen a living room as big as that one in her life. With exotic draperies covering the walls, Chinese vases in every corner, and large couches spread amidst the marmol floors.

“It’s a pleasure to be finally able to meet you.” Narcissa kissed both her cheeks, and smiled as she motioned Lorraine forwards. “You are always to be welcomed here at the Malfoy Manor.”

“Thank you very much, Mrs. Malfoy.” Lorraine replied, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. “But don’t worry; I won’t be staying here for long, after all I heard school starts soon”

“Yes well, I see you haven’t met my son yet.” She smiled yet again, Lorraine flinched a little she was never used to constant smiling and Narcissa Malfoy sure did smile a lot. “Draco, darling come over here!”

A few seconds later came the answer, along with a tall, slim, pale guy with blonde hair and grey eyes. He sure was handsome; as Lorraine noticed she gave him a small smile and waved her hand towards his direction.

Narcissa spoke up slowly as she eyed both of them. “Draco sweetie, this is Lorraine Owens. Your aunt Bella and I are going out, do you understand?”

Draco Malfoy threw a glance at Lorraine smirked and gave her a nod, then looked up back at his mother and replied. “Yes mother, when are you leaving?”

“I am leaving as soon as I am dressed up.” Mrs. Malfoy answered airily and looked at her son. “I expect you to behave, now show Lorraine her room.”

Lorraine snickered silently, demanding, demanding Mrs. Malfoy. She left her trunks on the ground, knowing some house-elf would bring them up to the room and followed Draco.

He strode out of the living room, through the halls and upstairs. After a good many turns, he stopped in front of a door.

“This is your room, and mine is right over there.” He pointed at the door right across from the one they were currently standing in.

“Thank you for showing me around,” Lorraine smiled opening the door and walking inside. As she stepped inside Lorraine couldn’t help but be completely flabbergasted.

The room was perfect, more than perfect. It was an exact replica of her room back at her house in France. It had the ocean blue walls, the sand colored carpet, the baby blue ceiling, even her oak bed and dark brown sofa.

She felt as if she was being watched so she turned around to see Draco Malfoy leaning against the doorframe and smirking back at her.

“Like it?”

“It’s absolutely delightful.” Lorraine replied with a smile. “Excuse me, but what was your name again?”

The blonde guy seemed a bit taken back for a second, but his expression changed so fast that Lorraine wasn’t even sure it actually happened. “Draco, Draco Malfoy; what’s yours?”

Lorraine smirked proudly. “Lorraine Owens, I believe you should already know this piece of information anyhow.”

“Really?” Malfoy raised an eyebrow at her. “And how is that?”

All he gained from her was a sarcastic snicker from her. “Are you kidding me? You must know about the task we have in our hands, at the very least I suppose you may some ideas already, or anything at all.”

Draco Malfoy walked up to Lorraine and gave her a playful smirk which she returned with a slightly snobbish glance, and then he did the one thing that made Lorraine’s blood boil.

He looked down at her, and shoved her to the ground, running off towards his room just seconds afterwards.

Lorraine stayed down on the floor for a few moments, still trying to assimilate what had just happened. She couldn’t believe it, never in her life had she been treated in such a manner, and she sure wasn’t going to allow it a second time.

Rory got off the floor and walked slowly towards the hallway, she could hear Malfoy laughing his guts off in his own room. She stormed towards his room and tried to open the door, it was locked.

What an idiot, did he actually believed he could get rid of me just by locking the door.

With her wand taken out of her pocket, she muttered an incantation to unlock the door, and it opened at ease. She then marched up to Malfoy and roughly shoved him to the ground, kneeling besides him.

He seemed startled by this but smirked nonetheless. “You just couldn’t resist me, could you?”

Lorraine pointed the wand at his throat with so much pressure she was sure she was going to leave a mark, as she spoke menacingly.

“Don’t you ever shove me again in your life; next time you do I might do something so horrible, that even your enemy’ will feel your pain, got it?”

He nodded slowly and she stood up.

Lorraine extended her arm to help him up, he took it and she smiled charmingly at him.
“Apart from that, you seem like a nice guy.”

Malfoy looked at her like she had gone completely nuts.

And that was the day, in which Lorraine Owens vowed to make Draco Malfoy suffer for the rest of the year.

She’d charm him, like she had done oh so many times before with every other guy.

And double-cross him at the last minute.

But what Lorraine didn’t knew, was that Draco Malfoy wasn’t like every other guy.

That she would need more than a lie to help her get out of the mess she was just about to create.
