Chase the Morning
It was the beginning of the 2008 season and the Rockford Icehogs had all new players from the Norfolk Admirals. A confusing change was made at the end of last season, the Chicago Blackhawks moved their players and affilacy from Norfolk's AHL team to Rockford.
The group of men that proudly played for whatever farm team Chicago designated for them moved obediently to the Midwestern city and prepared to play for the new foreign fans.
Rockford embraced them and surprised every other fanbase in the hemisphere. After their boys had just won the championship in the UHL for them, they were ripped away and replaced with an AHL team who had never won a championship other than gold during the World Juniors if they played for Team Canada.
Colin Fraser was one of those men who won gold for Canada, but never won outside of international play who found himself in Rockford, IL.
