Falling for Someone Unexpected

Falling For Who? Chapter 7

I woke up confused.
“What the hell?” I muttered. Zane was going to tell me something.
He knocked me out again.
I sighed and crawled out of bed and into the living room.
“You knocked me out again didn’t you?”
“Huh?” he asked.
“Don’t play dumb,”
“Blake I’ve been here the whole time. After you came home you took a nap,”
“You were about to tell me something,”
“Tell you what?”
“What you really are”
“I’m just a regular guy, Blake. I think you should lye down,” Zane walked over to me and led me over to the sofa. I lied down and he went to the kitchen.
Zane came back with a wet cloth.
He moved my head and placed it in his lap and put the cold wet cloth on my forehead.
“Relax,” he whispered as he stoked my hair.
I closed my eyes and relaxed.
Maybe Zane was right. I’m confusing my dreams with reality.
I opened my eyes and looked up at Zane’s flawless face.
He’s hair was in his beautiful eyes. He had a strong jaw and thin pink lips.
“Your kind of beautiful,” I said.
Zane looked down at me. “You must be really out of it,”
“No, I’m serious,”
He smiled. “You beautiful too, Blake,”
I laughed. “No,
He smiled. “You beautiful too, Blake,”
I laughed. “No, you’re the one who’s out of it,”
He sighed and took the cloth off of my head. “How do you feel?”
“Fine, I was always fine,”
“Your free to go,”
“Nah, I’ll just stay here,” I said still resting my head on his lap.
Zane and I sat there the whole evening until my – our – parents came home.
My mom cooked us dinner and we eat together as a family.
Zane said he wasn’t hungry but still joined us.
We all went to bed except me.
I pretended to be asleep.
I watched Zane get up and open his window. He jumped out of it and took off.
I quickly got up and crawled out the window myself which took some time.
I ran to where I saw Zane go.
He was already gone so I went by memory.
I went deeper and deeper into the forest behind our house.
I didn’t see Zane anywhere.
I gave up and went back home.
I crawled into the window and went back to bed.
A least I caught him in the act.
*****
Monday came and it was a bright sunny day.
This was rare for us.
I dressed in shorts and a t-shirt today.
“Zane get ready for school,” I said when I noticed he was just lying there.
“I don’t feel good again,”
“Why do you never feel good when it’s sunny out?”
“Why do you ask so many questions?”
I rolled my eyes. “I’ll call and check up on you,”
“Okay,”
“Weirdo,”
“I heard that,” he called after me.
Liz and Matt picked me up and drove me to school.
Liz and I walked to our lockers as Matt walked to his.
“Where’s Zane?” she asked.
“He’s not feeling well,”
“Again? But it’s so nice out side,”
“I know,”
“Weird,”
“Oh, I almost for got. Necklace or perfume?”
It was Liz’s birthday in a few days and I need to know what to get her.
“Perfume. Why?”
“No reason,”
We walked to our class as the bell rang.
****
Lunch time was here and I was on my way to my locker.
A group of jocks past me and made me drop my books. They laughed at me I went to pick them up.
“Guys not cool. Get out of here,” I looked up to see Matt.
The guys left and Matt dent down to help me.
“Thanks,” I smiled.
“No problem. I need to ask you a question as well,”
“Sure, what?” I asked walking to my locker.
“What should I get Liz for her birthday?”
“Well, I’m getting her perfume, but I know that she would love this necklace that we saw at the mall,”
“Can we go get it after school, tomorrow?”
“Yeah, sure. Pick me up at six?”
“Sounds good,”
“Great,”
“Thanks,”
“Bye,” I said as he walked away.
I took out my phone and called Zane.
“Hello?” he answered.
“Hey, Zane. How are you?”
“Better,”
“Good, do you need anything?”
“No, I’m fine thanks,”
“Okay, it’s lunch time now, so I’ll be home in a few hours,”
“See you then,”
“Bye,” we hung up and I walked to the cafeteria.
I sat with Liz and Matt as we eat.
After school I walked home, to enjoy the warm summer like air.
“Zane I’m home,” I sang.
He walked out of our room, shirtless. “Hey,”
“Hi,” I said trying not to stare.
“It’s so beautiful outside, come and join me,”
“No thanks,”
“Why not? Do you hate the sun?”
“Well…” he trailed off.
I laughed. “Fine, be a lame-o,” I said walking to my room.
I changed into comfy clothes and Zane and I did our homework together.
My dad came home and made us dinner.
My mom was working late today.
After dinner we watched a movie. I fell a sleep somewhere in the middle of I and I had the strangest dream.
Zane had jumped out the window and I followed him all the way to the forest.
He knew I was following him. He attacked me and bit my neck.
I felt all the blood drain from my body and the pain of my neck was painful.
I jumped awake panting.
“Are you okay?” my dad asked.
“Yeah, bad dream,” I muttered.
I looked over at Zane. I wonder.
After the movie we wall went to our rooms to get ready for bed.
“Zane say ah,” I said.
“Ah?”
I looked at his teeth and saw no fangs or anything.
“You have really good gums,” I said and walked over to my bed.
“Thank you?”
“Yup, night,”
“Night,”
Zane turned off the light.
I had the same dream again last night.
What did this mean?
