All I Wanted Was You

He held me under the stars and above the lights of the town.
And it hit me….how long will this last?
I mean he is a working actor and I am just…normal, kind of.
This could be just a fling to him and then gosh…I need to get it together. I might as well ask him.
“Rob.”
I pulled away and turned to him.
“What is it?”
Breathe
“Where is this gonna go when you get a gig? Am I suppose to wait here? Or forget about you?”
“oh…well I never thought about that. I don’t plan to take a job anytime soon. I came here to try to forget about that part of my life for a while.”
“How long have you been here?”
“A few weeks.”
“Where is this going to go?”
“I don’t know….But I really can’t imagine my life without you in it.”
I got closer and he wrapped his arms around me.
“I haven’t felt this way about someone in a very long time Rob.”
“Me neither.”
“But hey lets us live in the moment and enjoy this okay? We won’t worry about being apart until the time comes…alright?”
“Fine.. what time is it?”
“let me see…its wow it’s midnight.”
“What?”
“Yeah we have been up here for hours.”
“That’s so odd.”
“I know.”
“I think I should be heading home then.”
“You know how I feel about you walking home by yourself at night.”
“I will be fine don’t worry.”
“Oh no not happening come on.”
“But.”
“No buts Belinda now come on.”
He pulled in into the elevator and hit the button.
“Rob you are being ridiculous.”
“I am not being ridiculous now come on.”
He reached for my hand and held it and he opened his hotel room.
He started to clear off the bed and make a little setting on the floor.
“I…don’t…understand.”
“You are staying here. You are going to take the bed and I am sleeping on the floor.”
“Oh no. Not going to happen.”
“You can argue with me all you want but you are staying here now into to bed.”
“I am not going to.”
“Yes you are.”
“You can’t make me.”
“You wanna bet?”
He came up to me picked me up bridal style and laid me on the bed.
I was in shock and he saw it.
He slowly touched my cheek with the back of his hand.
I closed my eyes and let out a breath.
I felt him getting closer and I bit my lip.
His lips pressed against mine and I moved mine with his.
He started to get on top of me.
And I killed it there.
“Stop. Stop please.”
“Sorry was that too much?”
“Could you get off?”
He get off on top of me and laid next to me.
“I am sorry… I don’t know what came over me.”
“Just don’t let it happen again.”
“I won’t you should really get some sleep.”
“I will…but I have a problem..”
“What is it?”
“I can’t exactly sleep in a dress.”
“Oh…would you like to borrow something?”
“Can i?”
“Yeah let me find you a shirt of mine.”
He rummaged around in his closet and digged around and found a shirt.
“Here its one of my favorites.”
It was an old faded black Beatles t-shirt.
“Uh let me just give you a moment.”
He walked off into the bathroom and took some clothes with him.
I took the shirt and I smelled it…it smells like him.
I smiled and undressed and put it on and slipped off my shoes.
I walked towards the bathroom.
I was about to call out to him and then I saw him changing shirts.
I stood there silent staring at him.
He looked up at the mirror at saw me looking at him.
“Oh hi.”
He slipped on his shirt and smiled.
“Sorry I just wanted to tell you I was done.”
I blushed and turned around
“Its alright Belinda. Come on you look like you are about to drop.”
He grabbed my hand and led me to the bed.
I got in and he kissed me goodnight.
“Goodnight beautiful.”
“Goodnight Rob.”
I went on my side and pulled the sheets close to me.
Everything smelled like him.
I smiled and slowly drifted off to sleep thinking of the man who slept on the floor next to me.
‘I love you Belinda Morgan…forever.’
‘Nathan you are so full of it hahaha’
‘No… I mean it….I love you.’
I know I was dreaming…but the memory wouldn’t go away.
‘you are serious aren’t you?’
‘baby I am completely serious.’

‘I have something to tell you..’

I woke up screaming.
