Love Will Never Ever Let Us Fall Apart

"Mommy! Mom! Mommy!" My five year-old son yelled jumping into my bed.

"What is it, honey?" I asked in a groggy voice as he woke me up.

"Daddy's coming home today!" He shouted.

"I know, baby. Remember to use your inside voice so you don't wake up your sister," I said, reminding him of the sleeping one year old.

"Sorry, mommy. When's dad gonna get here?" He asked.

"Well, he should be here soon. How about we get some breakfast?"

"Okay," he said jumping off the bed.
I went into the next room and picked up my sleeping daughter.

I walked out into the kitchen and saw my son waiting at the table.

"Sweetie, what kind of cereal do you want?" I asked as I got a bottle from the fridge.

"Frosted Flakes!" He replied happily.

"Me too," I heard a deep voice say from behind me.

I whipped my head around and grinned.

"Daddy!" John yelled as he sprinted into his father's arms.

"Aww, hey little guy!" He said picking him up and hugging him. "Did you take good care of your mom and your sister while I was gone?"

"Yep! I helped mommy do the dishes every night, just like you. And I pushed Laney's stroller when we went to the park!" he replied proudly.

"Good job, buddy! How about I take you out for ice cream later as a reward?"

"Yes!" He cheered as he got down from John's arms.

"Let me see my little girl," John said taking Delaney from my arms.

"Look at how big you've gotten, sweetie!" He exclaimed. He gave her a kiss on the cheek and set her down in her high chair before making his way over to me.

"I missed you, Bee" he told me as he wrapped his arms around me.

"I missed you, too," I grinned.

He leaned down and kissed me passionately on the lips. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he pulled me closer so I was pressed against his body.

"Gross!" John yelled.

We pulled apart and laughed.

"I love you, Bethy,"

"I love you too, Johno,"

"Da-da," I heard my Delaney squeal from her high chair.

"Oh my god! That's her first word, right?" He asked excitedly.

"Yeah," I grinned. "I think she's glad you came back,"

"I'm always going to come back,"
