I'd Rather Be Alone...

Two.

“That’s great Patrick, hold that pose!” I smile as I raise my camera up to my eye and click, capturing the air of confidence that was building up all around him as he stared intently at the camera lens. “Perfect!”

“Can’t you at least smile a bit?” Nate chuckled as he watched from behind me.

“Nate, you can’t have a serious photo if any of you are smiling in it, it would totally throw the entire look off!” I say happily as I give Nate a little nudge with my elbow.

“That is very true, my little rose petal.” Petie smiles as he comes up behind me wrapping his arms around my waist and kissing my neck softly.

“You really know how to make my work with you lot difficult, don’t you Petie?” I giggle lightly.

“Not at all.” I feel him smile as he places another kiss on my neck, squeezing me slightly as he snuggles his head against mine.

“Come on Petie, put her down, we’re still on working hours, you know?” Nate laughs as he prods Petie’s side sharply.

“Ow!” Petie whines, pulling away from me and putting on his most cutest expression.

“Oh Nate, don’t make Princess Petie cry, whatever you do!” Patrick laughs, unable to hold in his laughter. “You’ll ruin his make-up!”

“That’s not funny!” Petie whines as he places his hand on his side that Nate had prodded.

“Come on guys, don’t be mean.” I smile, as I lean up to place a kiss on Petie’s ever so soft lips. “Why don’t you guys go for an hour lunch break? We’ll finish off when you come back,”

“Mmm, I could do with some food now!” Petie says happily before kissing me back and wrapping his arms around my waist.

I couldn’t help but laugh as he started to kiss my neck, his breath tingling against my skin, making me shiver in pleasure at his touch. I reach out behind me and place my camera upon the table before wrapping my own arms around his neck, pulling him closer towards me, as he rests his forehead against my own.

“Yeah and we all know what’s on your menu, Petie.” Patrick giggles, watching us closely as he steps away from the large white screen that I had set up last night before leaving the studio.

“You can all jibe as much as you like, I’m happy!” He laughs as he lifts his head up off of mine, sticking his tongue out at his fellow band mates and friends before planting another kiss on my forehead.

“I should hope so!” I laugh as he tightens his grip on me.

I couldn’t help but gaze into Petie’s perfect hazel eyes, noticing all of the feelings that they contained was enough to make me smile and my heart start to race. I rest my head against his chest as he sways us lightly from left to right, I felt like I could remain like this with him forever and not have to worry about anything, he’s my everything and he certainly knows it.

“Well, while you two are being all adorable, we’re going to head out and get some lunch!” Nate states cheerfully as he claps his hands together. “An hour did you say?”

“Uh huh.” I hum as Petie starts to nibble playfully at my left earlobe.

Patrick couldn’t resist the urge to hold back a sick face anymore and so got all of our attention and a laugh from Nate, when he stuck out his tongue and pretended to through up before looking up at us again, laughing at mine and Petie’s expressions. Brandon who was sat in the corner with his phone even looked up and shook his head at Patrick before getting up and stuffing his phone into his back pocket, obviously not finding Patrick’s little joke as funny as what Nate had done.

“You ok, Brandon? You seem awfully quiet today.” I ask him as slip out of Petie’s grasp, much to his dislike, and wandering over to the studio lights.

“Yeah, I’m fine.” He says in his usual quite tone as he starts to shoo a still hysterical Nate and Patrick towards the door. “We’ll see you in an hour.”

“Ok.” I nod as he leaves, closing the door quietly behind him, leaving me and Petie alone.

I look over to where Petie was still standing, watching me with that smile I knew all to well spread across his face. I smile back at him before continuing on my task of switching the two main lights off, so that the room was being illuminated by the big studio light that was positioned on the right hand side of the giant white screen.

“Are you not going to lunch then, my love?” I say across my shoulder as I grab hold of my laptop and camera.

“Miss Carter, my vibrant rose, why would I go to lunch when I can be here, all alone, with you?” He chuckles lightly as he takes my camera from me, sitting down in the middle of the white screen that was draped from the ceiling to half way across the room and motioning for me to join him.

“As much as I like how that sounds, I know what you’re like if you miss a meal.” I giggle as he reaches for my arm and pulling me down next to him, almost knocking my laptop out of my hand in the process. “Why don’t you go and catch up with Brandon and the gigglers for lunch so that I can upload all the photos I’ve taken so far onto my laptop and when you all come back, we’ll finish off the shoot so that me and you can slink off on our own. How does that sound?”

“Well…Apart from the part where you shoo me away…That sounds like a perfect way to finish off today.” He ponders before placing another of his tender kisses upon my lips before pulling me towards him, raising my camera up into the air and capturing the image of us together, with me held closely to his chest as we both smile with happiness and contentment.

I take hold of my camera as Petie stands back up, fixing his trousers in the process, and look back at the photo that he had just taken and I feeling my smile widen at just how perfect it was.

“I won’t be long, I promise.” He smiles as he ruffles my hair before striding over to the door where the others departed from not five minutes ago.

“Don’t rush, you need to eat. I‘ll be waiting for you though.” I smile back as I blow him a kiss as he departs, laughing lightly to himself.

It wasn’t until the door had fully closed, that my phone started going off, startling me slightly as I pulled it from my jacket pocket and seeing an unknown, international number flash upon the screen. I let my thumb hesitantly hover over the accept button before pressing it sharply and raising it up to my ear, my tone nervous.

“Hello?”
