Chapter 61(2 years Latter)

Payton Jonas woke up to an empty bed; her husband had been gone two month’s now. She sat up lazily and sad, she slumped out of bed and into the bathroom for a quick shower. After her bathing she got dressed and went down stairs. The phone rang and she rushed to it, hoping it was her husband.
“Hello?” she asked, not looking at the ID.

“Hey” a sweet voice said on the other end, but it didn’t make her happy.

“Hey, what’s up?” she asked.

“Nothing really, kinda bored.”

“Me to” she sighed.

“I can’t wait for Nick to get home tonight.”

“Yeah, me either… well Joe” Payton stated.

“Yeah, are you still coming over to the Families house tonight?”

“No, I think I’ll just wait for Joe to come here.”

“But it’s a family thing, waiting for our men to come home, Dani’s going to be there too.”

“I know, but Mr. and Mrs. Jonas hate me.”

“No, just Denise…” she trailed off.

“I know, trust me I know.”

“Forget about her, wanna go shopping?”

“Yeah sure, what time?”

“Well, I’m kinda out side in your drive way right now.”

Payton laughed. “I’ll be out side in a sec.”

“So, I already bought your present…” Annie trailed off, walking through the Macys.

“What are you talking about?” Payton asked.

“For your Anniversary.”

“You didn’t have to buy us anything…” Payton trailed off.

“Yes I did, and you’re going to love it.”

“What is it?” Payton asked.

“I can’t tell you...” Annie trailed off.

“Is it something to do with making a baby?” Payton asked.

“No” Annie stated. “That’s not all I think about.”

“So, how’s that baby thing going for ya?” Payton then asked.

“Well, my husbands off being a rock star so not so good.”

“He’ll be back tonight...” Payton trailed off.

“Yeah, that means I got to fake it.”

“You fake it?” Payton asked.

“Not fake it all the way, just some thing’s, to keep him excited.”

Payton laughed. “Does he know you do that?”

“Not at all…” Annie trailed off, looking at a blue sweater.
“You’re bad” Payton told her.

“I want a baby.”

“Yeah, I know.”

“So, are you and Joe trying for a baby?” Annie then asked.

“Um, we’ve talked about it and he said he wanted to wait awhile.”

“Are you on the pill?” Annie then asked.

“Yes” Payton answered.

Annie and Payton drove down the high way in Annie’s car, on the way back to Payton’s house.

“Aw, I got a text from Nick” Annie cooed, not looking at the road and looking at her pink phone.

“How come I didn’t get a text fro…” just then her phone beeped, she picked it up and rolled her eyes at what it said. “Never mind.”

“What’s yours say?” Annie asked, Payton showed her the screen and she laughed.

“Nick never sends me dirty stuff like that...” Annie then trailed off.

“Joe does all the time.”

“Say something back” Annie urged her.
“Like what?” Payton asked.

“Tell him what you’re wearing, but say something kinky.”

Payton laughed. “Ok,

She typed the dirtiest idea that came to mind and hit send.
“What did you say?” Annie then asked.

“I told him I was wearing his favorite black underwear.”

“You wear his underwear?” Annie asked.

“No” Payton laughed. “There mine.”

“Oh…” she trailed off.

Just then her phone beeped again.

“What’s it say now?” Annie asked.

“It says, I can’t wait to take you out of them tonight.”

“Ew, hot” Just then the phone beeped again.” give me the phone.”

“What?” Payton asked.

“I wanna see what it says” she told her.

“ Text back your own husband…” Payton trailed off.

“You think I could get Nick to have phone sex with me?” Annie asked.

“Maybe, but that won’t get you pregnant.”

“True…”

They arrived in front of Payton’s house and she got out.

“You are going to come tonight right?” Annie asked.

“Yeah, I’ll be there” she told her.

“Ok, see you tonight” Annie said, before driving away.

2 hours latter Payton was driving to her in-law’s house. Once she got there she saw Annie and Danielle’s car. She got out of her car after parking in the drive way, she ran up to the door and knocked.

“Payton” Mr. Jonas greeted her at the door. “You don’t have to knock.”

Payton didn’t say anything, just looked down.

“Come on in” Mr. Jonas stated, moving to the side.

“Payton” Danielle chimed, hugging her.

“Hey, guys” she smiled at the gang that was sitting in the living room.

“They will be here in a little while” Annie told her. Just then Mrs. Jonas walked in and rolled her eyes, she slammed the chips down on the coffee table and walked back out of the room. Everyone then stared at Payton, just wondering what she would do. She just looked down.

“I’ll be right back” Mr. Jonas said, rushing out of the room, the next thing they heard was yelling coming from the kitchen. A few minutes latter Mr. and Mrs. Jonas came back both faking a smile.

“The boys should be here any minute” Mrs. Jonas said, through grinding teeth. Payton felt like she wanted to cry, she always felt that way when she came over to their house, and it was even worse without Joe.

“So, how’s life for you Payton?” Mr. Jonas asked. “We haven’t seen you for awhile.”

“Just been here and there...” she trailed off.

“How’s your mom?” he asked.

“She’s good, business is really picking up for sense I married Joe.”

Mrs. Jonas huffed loudly at that comment.

“And, how’s your dad?” Mr. Jonas asked.

“He’s good” she told him.

“I’m going to get the snakes” Mrs. Jonas said, leaving the room. Payton saw her chance; maybe if she could talk to her for a minute it would make her see she wasn’t what she thought she was, she got up quick and fallowed her into the kitchen.

“Can I help with anything?” she asked.

“No” Mr., Jonas snapped. “I don’t need any help.”

“Are you sure, I can carry anything, or maybe make coffee.”

“No” Mrs. Jonas bit at her. “I don’t need any help.”

“Ok. But can we talk for a second then?” she asked.

“I rather not” Mrs. Jonas said.

“I think it would help if we…”

“I said No” Mrs. Jonas yelled, cutting her off, she then walked out of the room. Payton sighed, she blew it again. Payton aimlessly walked around, not wanting to go back in the living room, she somehow wound up upstairs in Joe’s old bed room. She would probably get kicked out of the house if Mrs. Jonas caught her up there.
She looked around; it looked like Joe was just in the room five minutes ago, everything he had left in the same place.
There were old pictures of the family and of her, Nick and Joe; there was still old clothes on the floor.

“What are you doing in here?” she hard someone yell, she turned around quick, her heart racing, she was about to be kicked out.

“I hate you” she stated.

“Love you too babe” he told her, walking through the room and over to her, before wrapping his arms around her tight.

“When did you get here?” she then asked.

“Just a few minutes ago.”

“I missed you” she told him, before placing a sweet kiss to his lips, him deepening it quick.

“What are you doing in here, anyway?” he asked, after they pulled away.

“Staying away from your mom” she told him.

“I see” he stated, looking around the room. “I haven’t been up here sense before we got married.”

“Yeah, it’s been even longer for me…” she trailed off.

“Wanna get it on?” he asked, smirking.

“No, your whole family is down stairs.”

“Oh come on, if I remember right, there’s a whole box of condoms in the back of the closet.”

She rolled her eyes, as he walked over to his old closet.

“Ahh” he sang. “Here they are.”

He pulled them out and opened the box. “Whatta say, babe?” he asked, wiggling his eyebrows.

“No, let’s wait till we get home” she told him.

“You’re so boring…” he trailed off.

“I am not” she told him.

“Are so” he told her back, getting closer to her.

“Am not” she fought.

“Are so.”

“Not.”

“Are so” he whispered, before his lips hit hers.

“Joseph” his mother’s voice interrupted their make out.

“We better get down stairs” she sighed.

“Yeah” he agreed, looking annoyed.
