Life of a Teenage Haner

Layla’s POV

I groaned as I felt sleep leave me, I wasn’t ready to get up yet but the sunlight seemed to have other ideas.

Opening my eyes I looked around groggily and saw that I was still curled on the sofa where I was last night. Wincing against the light I brought my hand to my eyes and rubbed them. Opening them once more I looked down to see Jaden hugging my thigh. I giggled and poked his cheek; he twitched but didn’t wake up so I reached forward to do it again but his head suddenly turned and he bit at my finger.

I gave a small scream and pulled it away giggling. Jaden’s eyes opened and he grinned at me

“that’s what you get” he said. I pouted which made him chuckle.

Letting go of my leg, he sat up and stretched letting his shirt ride up slightly to show off his abs. I blinked slightly at how much muscle he had going on there but shook it off. Looking at him I grinned

“well you should wake up when I want you to then” I told him, he raised a brow

“and I’m supposed to know when you want me awake...” he asked. I rolled my eyes and shoved him slightly

“because you just should” I said. Jaden stared at me a moment before shaking his head and getting off the sofa.

Jaden looked around at the destruction; all of the empty packets and crumbs littered all over the place. He sighed and pointed to the door

“go and shower and change in my room while I clean this up” he told me. I nodded and got to my feet, reaching up to kiss his cheek in thanks before leaving the room to go shower, knowing the offer could be rescinded at any moment.

Once I was showered and changed (http://www.polyvore.com/casual_210/set?id=34078212) I made my way down the stairs; hearing the shower turning on once more in what I assumed to be because Jaden was in there.

Once I got to the kitchen I sat down at the table as Aunt Hannah moved sleepily around the kitchen. I giggled as I watched her

“why are you up so early Auntie?” I asked. She looked up at me and smiled

“well I wanted to get up to make sure you were fed before school” she told me, I raised a brow

“why? I can feed myself you know” I said in a joking tone. Aunt Hannah laughed

“like I would ever believe that your mother would let you feed yourself” she said. I shrugged

“well no she is generally there all the time so she does it but I seriously can make food myself, took Home Ec. For a while you know” I told her. She just smiled at me and continued with what she was doing.

After I had eaten the French toast she made me, and Jaden; Jaden hustled me into the car and we drove to school.

Arriving outside I turned to Jaden and hugged him

“thanks for the lift” I thanked him, he grinned at me

“you’re welcome and by the way I’m picking you up as well” he told me. I nodded and then got out of the car and walked towards my friends, turning to wave at him as he pulled out of the school parking lot.

Zoe grinned as soon as I walked up

“so you had the movie night then, did you guys have fun?” she asked, I nodded

“of course, I can’t not have fun with Jaden” I told her with a smile. She giggled and Aaron came up on my other side to hug me to his side

“well we’re glad that you’re happy but we are going to be late if we don’t all get moving” he pointed out. I nodded and we all headed to class.

I noticed Nathan scowling and asked

“what’s up?” I asked him. He frowned down at me

“you spent the night at his house?” he asked, I frowned

“yeah, I always do when he comes back” I told him. His scowl came back

“and you don’t think that is inappropriate?” he asked. My mouth dropped open and I giggled

“Jaden is still living with his parents since he’s not here enough to bother getting his own place, I wasn’t alone with him” I told him then giggled again and walked off.

Nathan’s POV

I watched Layla walk away with the scowl still on my face. Aaron came over and clapped me on the shoulder

“Jaden wouldn’t hurt her, the fact you think he would is kinda funny” he said. I rolled my eyes

“why does no one take this seriously? He’s older than her by three years but none of you see a problem with this?” I asked, frustrated. Aaron shrugged

“why should we? We all know they will end up together anyway so why worry about it” he said then walked off with me glaring at his back.

They won’t end up together, I’ll make damn sure of it.

Layla’s POV

After school I walked quickly over to Jaden’s car and climbed in. As he drove off I looked in the back seat and saw a package there. Raising a brow at it I asked

“what’s that?” I asked, Jaden glancing in the rear view mirror and smiled

“that is the present for Braden you asked me to get him” he told me. A smile stretched my face

“really?!” I asked excited “oh my god what is it?” I asked. Jaden chuckled and shook his head

“I’m not telling you” he said. I pouted

“why not? He’ll know it wasn’t from me if I’m as surprised as he is” I pointed out. Jaden just shrugged

“don’t matter, not that he will be looking at you anyway once he opens it” I narrowed my eyes at him but nodded and settled back in the seat, still kinda pouting.

Arriving home we both got out of the car and Jaden loaded the box out of the car and to the door. Coming inside I called out

“Braden!” a small thump was heard from upstairs and then Braden appeared at the top

“what do you need?” he asked. Jaden held up the box and said

“we want to give you your belated birthday present” he told him. Braden’s face lit up and he near enough jumped all of the way down the stairs in his haste to get at it.

I giggled as I watched him rip open the box then stare at what it was in shock. Moving to look around him, my eyes widened as well as I looked towards Jaden. Jaden grinned down at me and hugged me to his side as he asked Braden

“so do you like it?” he asked. Braden looked up and nodded

“hell to the yeah! I’ve wanted a new one since my last got ruined on tour” he said then turned his attention to the acoustic guitar.

The rest of the afternoon was spent with Braden showing us his skills with his present.
