We Are Broken

“Would you guy stop using your freaking-awesome-vampire-powers?” I asked, shaking my head, “it’s starting to make me feel slow.” Gerard chuckled from behind me.

“You are slow.” He commented. My eyes narrowed as I whipped around.

“Am n-” I cut off, seeing as I was talking to thin air. My hands curled into fists at my sides. I heard his laughter from directly behind me, so I spun around again. Once more, he was gone, and now sitting on my bed. He bit his lip to stop himself from laughing at my expression.

“Slow poke.” He teased. I made a “hmpft” sound and marched straight over to him. Right when I was a foot away, he darted to behind me again, and pushed me onto the bed.

“You jerk!” I gasped as I rolled over to look up at where he was just standing, and wasn’t anymore.

“Snail.” He said, from the top corner of the bed. I sighed heavily, laying my head down, starng at the ceiling.

“Cheater.” I stated, not looking away from the ceiling. A quiet laugh came from him.

“How am I a cheater?” He asked, clearly amused.

“Using your vampire powers against me. That’s cheating.” I said to him.

“Hey, if you got ‘em, use ‘em.” Gerard told me. “Plus, you never said I couldn’t use them.” He pointed out.

“But...” I trailed off.

“But nothing.” He retorted. I pouted, crossing my arms over my chest.

“You’re still a cheater.” I replied stubbornly.

“And you’re still slow.”
