Summary of what happened from the end of ‘Hopeless Hearts’ to the beginning of ‘AESAD’:
A few weeks after Claire told Frank that she was pregnant, Claire’s mom (Shirley) had to movie for work. Claire and Shirley packed and moved to Connecticut. Instead of going to school, Claire’s mom hired a tutor for Claire for the remainder of the school year.
In August (Aug. 1) Claire gave birth to a baby girl she named Samantha. Sam had Claire’s hair and Frank’s eyes.
When school started, Claire’s mom hired another tutor for Claire for her senior year so Claire could take care of Sam. After getting her high school diploma, Claire got a part time job and spent most of her time with Sam.
After Sam turned 4, Claire went to stay near New York City to try and look for a job and a place where Claire and Sam could live.
Sam will be staying with Claire’s mom during this time.
