Love is Confusing
Chapter 4
Laney sat there patiently waiting for his reply, or at least a better one. Know she knew that he was hidding something from her. He was slow in his response and he seemed to wear a guilty face.
Laney sat there wondering how she could care so much about a preditor who was haboring a secret from her. She knew he was dangerous and yet she cared a great deal for him. Would she still love him if he was the one who kidnapped Emma?
She shook her head to clear her thoughts and think straight. She had to be bold and forcefull to get the answers she wanted. Just because she fancied Xavier made the situation no different, even if the outcome might be different.
"Look Xavier what are you hidding from me?" His eyes enlarged in surprise. She was pushing him more then he expected and she knew he was lying to her about something but she didn't know what that something was. 'Fine i will give her something.' His face became very serious as he got ready to give Laney an explanation. " I think i love you" Xavier said in a low voice. It wasn't a lie but it also was not the answer he knew she was looking for either.
Laney was taken back by what came out of his mouth. 'Did he really just say he loved her?' laney was in total shock. Yes, she loved him and wished for her feelings to be returned but it was forbidden. A vampire and a hunter together was a discrase for both sides. Neither of those sides would tollerate such a union, no matter the people involved.
Yet nonetheless she couldn't help but be happy. "I love you too" was her quiet yet excited reply.
Xavier was shocked that Laney had returned his feelings and couldn't speak. 'Why is it that the forbidden loves are the best love to have?' Xavier thought. A smile spread across his face.
This girl he should hate, is a woman he can't live without. He loved everything about her expecially her attitude of getting what she wants, not to mention her muscular body.
They walked towards eachother slowly. Love had taken over but so had lust and they couldn't help but be together. THey got hold of one another as their lips met.
It was like an explosion in her mouth. She felt his every emotion. His happyness but also his concern. She had no idea what the concern was about but she thought it had to do with him being a vampire and her bing a hunter. But that didn't matter at the moment, what Laney cared abut now was Xaviers lips on hers. She never wanted it to stop.
