Tracy’s POV
“Alright Nech I’ve considered your request and think that in this matter its best if Tracy…” he sighed before continuing and I thought I was going to have a panic attack. “…returns back to Zak’s house.”
I didn’t notice I had stopped breathing until I finally started again. I squeezed my eyes shut because tears were ready to spill over. I let out a joyful cry as my eyes finally re-opened allowing my tears to fall.
“So Tracy go back to your room and collect your things, court for custody is next Monday at 10 am.” The judge banged the gravel and everyone stood up. I turned to Zak whose smile matched mine.
“I’ll see you outside,” he said and I nodded before allowing myself to be escorted out.
Zak’s POV
I paced back and forth in the lobby waiting for Tracy. I was so excited. At the corner of my eye I saw Nech talking to the desk clerk.
“What kind of guy is a secretary?” I muttered to myself.
“Jealous?” I looked to see Nick smirking at me with a raised eyebrow.
“Jealous? Why would I be jealous?” I scoffed.
“Because he’s making her laugh and smile and that’s what you want to do?” Before I could protest I heard my name being called from behind me.
I turned around quickly to see Tracy running towards me. I opened my arms wide just in time for her to jump into them. I squeezed her tightly and pulled her up so her feet weren’t even touching the ground. My eyes shut tightly and I could feel her face bury itself into my neck and I pulled her closer to me; I was probably crushing her to death but I don’t think either of us mind at this moment. We stayed in a tight embrace for a long moment before someone finally spoke up.
“We want hugs too…” Aaron said from behind us.
I sighed not ready to let go but loosened my grip allowing Tracy to slowing slide back down to her feet. Once she hit the ground she went and hugged the guys. I looked over at Nech to her staring at us; mainly me. When my eyes caught hers she smiled warmly but I noticed a hint of confusion in them. I smiled back before she turned away. I watched her grab her purse and wave to the secretary before making her way to the exit.
“Nech wait,” I turned to see Tracy quickly walk over to her.
Tracy’s POV
I walked over to Nech and once I was close enough I pulled her into a hug, at first she seemed tense but slowly wrapped her arms around me and squeezed lightly.
“I just wanted to say, thank you for giving me at least one more week,” I smiled.
“I’ll do my best to give you more,” I could hear the smile in her voice.
“Thank you,” I whispered before pulling away, she nodded and walked out.
