Running Away Is Adrenaline

Gloria and I headed back to the motel feeling a
little too close to being caught. I could only think
about how I needed closure from her. I'm still
hung on it. Her kiss, her smell it was all to perfect.
She smells like freshly washed clothes and
perfume that's too hard to describe.

We got onto Second St. and yet again a party
is crowding the streets of New Orleans at night.
Wait no this isn't any party, this is a riot. Every
festive color was involved and mixed together
with every punch the protesters threw. I got
lost in the moment and realized... if we
stay here cops are bound to find us. With
that thought filling my mind Gloria and I ran back
to our 'home'. There came a knocking at the door
I ever so lightly pushed Gloria in the closet, put on
my shades, and answered the door .

It was only our hotel manger, gladly, I about had
a panic attack! He reminded us this was our last
night, I nodded to approve.

After he left I focused my attention to the now
scared-to-death Gloria. She was sitting in the
corner trying to hold herself together at the best of
her ability, knees to chest, head buried in knees,
back against the bubbly Wall paper. It hurt to see her
like this so I walked over and wrapped my arms
around her cold body. Her head raised up from
her knee's and I saw she was crying. " Deary"
I said " we can get through this, remember? As
long as were together no one but ourselves can
break that." She was still crying. It was at this point killing
me so I had a confession to make. " Gloria, I love you darling,
I want to spend my entire life with you and so this I promise
to you: I wont let any harm come your way. At any cost I
will keep this promise." She replied " I love you to Christian"
Then continued crying on my shoulder.

We were in love at ths point I had realized.
(who wouldn't she said it to your face). Gloria hopped
in bed and I took a leap of faith, I hopped in right after her
wrapping my arms around her waist. She to my suprise was
happy about it and snuggled with me, We rolled around in the sheets
kissing for a while but nothing more, nothing less either. I mean we
were on the verge but not quite there as well if you know what
I mean.... cough cough.I closed my eyes waiting until the next
day wondering how it would turn out.
