Running Away Is Adrenaline

Last Of The American Girls

I woke up without my shirt or skinny jeans thinking to
myself " hun I don't remember that part". I turned over
to see Gloria's brilliant smile staring back at me. She
finally has some happiness, thats the only thing that
matters to me. As long as she can enjoy life is I
can find a way to. The light poured into the musty room
and made me remember that we have to hit the road.
Gloria got up to start fixing breakfest as we held
one of those 'morning couple' conversations.
I picked my jeans off the floor then tryed pulling them
up my legs while standing. Gloria let out a cute
little laugh I hadn't heard in a long time.

The day was already looking up. We packed up our bags
and we were on our way out. As we steped into the
morning sunlight Gloria rose the question " So where are
we going exactly?" The question filled my mind for a
full minuet until I answered " How about Chicago, if
it has low enough life for you". She let up another
one of her smiles that only she was capable of pulling off
and replyed " Yeah lets do it"

We headed to the bus stop at which we arrived waiting
about twenty minuets for the bus to actually get there.
It hit its squeaky breaks like it didn't see us stoping a few
inches over the line. " After you" I gestured Gloria up the
stairs. She looked back over her shoulder with the 'shut up'
look on her face. " Well you are last of the American girls ya know,
the pretty ones."

The bus ride was long but we finally arrived in Chicago the
center of low life its self. Once we arrived I took a quick detour
in our journey to a convenience store, snatching a few beers.
Now I'm sitting in the Hotel room Gloria managed to hagle a
deal we could afford just wondering how long the average hang-over
lasts. Gloria is sitting on the bed a bit disapointed for
taking a beer herself." Don't worry" I tryed assuring her " We
won't get caught with acohol in our systems".
It sounded silly even as I was saying it so we both broke
into laughter. Chicago bring it on....
