The Jock and the Nerd

The Jock and The Nerd Chapter 3

The next morning I woke up with Will next to me.
My parents weren’t coming home until tonight so we were good.
“Ready for school?” I asked.
“Nope,”
I gave him a kiss and wrapped the sheets around my naked body.
“I’m in the shower,”
“I’ll join you soon,”
I giggled like a little school girl and walked in my bathroom, leaving the sheets on the floor.
I turned on the water and let it warm up.
I stepped inside and let the warm water beat down on me.
Suddenly Will’s arms wrapped around me, pulling me closer to him.
I smiled and kissed him. “Hi,”
“Morning,”
I giggled again and began to wash off. Will stood there and washed me.
I smiled at him and wrapped my arms around his neck.
“Want to help me wash off?” he asked smirking.
“Anytime,” I grinned.

I got out of my car and headed to my locker.
I didn’t sleep at all, last night.
I knew Jenny liked me but I didn’t think she’ll do anything about it.
She started liking me at the end of eighth grade.
She had just told Will that she was madly in love with him and he laughed in her face. He told her he was flatter but didn’t like her. The next day she saw Morgan and Will kissing by the stairs.
I sat at home with her and told her what an awesome girl she was and helped her eat a box of ice cream. We watch the Notebook and The Princess Bride together. Somewhere in there she stared liking me.
I sighed and opened my locker.
“Stop,” I heard Morgan giggle.
I turned my head to see her and Will flirting with each other by her locker.
I think he was trying to tickle her.
He stopped and they laughed for a while. Will pulled her close to him and kissed her.
I looked away and took what I needed and headed to homeroom.
“Hey Randy,” Jenny said grinning at me.
“Hey,”
“You seem tired,”
“Yeah, I couldn’t sleep much last night,”
“Sorry to hear that,”
“It’s okay. You seem well rested,”
“Yup. Try sleeping with your headphone in, you’ll sleep like a baby,”
I laughed. “No thanks, I need complete quite,”
“Really? Weird,”
I laughed. “I know,”.
Jenny and I walked into homeroom and took our seats next to Jimmy.

[Morgan’s Point Of View]

The girls and I walked into homeroom and took our seats in the back of the classroom.
“You seem to be in a good mood,” Julia said winking.
“A very good mood,” Lilly added while giggling.
“Will slept over last night,” I said smiling.
“We’re going to need more than that,” Quinn said.
I laughed. “That’s all you’re hearing,”.
Our teacher walked in and we sat turned our attention to him.
I saw Randy staring at me and I gave him a weird look.
He blush and turned around.
I think it’s cute that he likes me and all but the staring needs to end.
I wrote him a quick note telling him that and threw it at his head.
He jumped and looked around.
I waved my fingers at him and he quickly bent over to read it.
Good, I thought as I listened to Mr. Graves.
The bell rang and second period was here.
The first week or so of school is pretty boring and unimportant so I texted Will and the other girls all day.
It was lunch time and I went to my locker to put my things away.
I saw Randy and Jenny by his locker.
I sighed my made my way over to them.
“Hey,” I said.
Jenny glared at me and walked away. Randy just stood there.
“Sorry about staring at you,” he said.
“It’s okay, I guess. Listen, I wanted to…say…sorry, about yesterday,”
“Really?”
“You looked pretty hurt,”
He shrugged. “I thought you were being nice to us for a change,”
“Yeah, that’s not going to happen anytime soon,”
“Maybe…”
I laughed. “Whatever you say, see you after lunch. Oh! Sorry about Will’s friends,”
“I’m used to it,”
“Later loser,” I winked at him and walked away.

[Randy’s Point Of View]

I walked into the cafeteria with a huge grin on my face.
Morgan looked up at the door, noticing someone walked in, and shook her head.
I guess she knew I was grinning because of her.
I sat down with my friends and eat my lunch.
“Why the big smile?” Shelby asked.
“Morgan apologized about yesterday,”
“Doubt she meant,” Jenny snorted.
“Morgan can be pretty nice to us when she wants to,” Jimmy said.
“Whatever,” Jenny said.
“Remember when she helped your mom fix her car?” Bryan reminded Jenny.
Jenny glared at him. “I don’t like her,”
“I wonder why,” Shelby muttered.
Jenny gave her a harder glare. “Shut it,”.
“Guys, the point is, she apologized,” I stepped in.
“I believe her,” Bryan said.
“Then make her a muffin basket,” Jenny said.
“I will,” Bryan said.
“I’ll help,” Jimmy said. “She’s hot,”
“Ugh!”
We all laughed at Jenny’s pain. We finished eating and hung out outside.
Will and Morgan and the rest of their group were all outside.
Will caught me staring at Morgan and he gave me a hard look.
I looked away as the bell rang.
I quickly went to my locker and got what I needed.
“Yo nerd!” a voice boomed behind me.
Will.
I turned around and there he was. He’s a big tall guy, I just noticed.
“Hi,”
“Stop! Staring at my girlfriend, she will never ever like you. Okay?”
I nodded my head and he walked away.
Morgan was at her locker and she looked over at him and smiled.
I guess she didn’t see our conversation.
She kissed him and they walked to class hand and hand.

[Morgan’s Point Of View]

I sat in the back of my English class and texted Quinn.
The bell rang and our teacher cleared her throat.
“Okay, I will be partnering you all up. The person that you’re partnered with will be your partner for the rest of the year. You’ll be working on a project together. The project it basically about getting to know each other. You will make a poster showing how you guys are different and similar. Any questions?”
No one raised their hand.
“Good,” she smiled. “Okay, Sandy and Ryan…” she began to read off the list of partners.
Finally she said. “Morgan and Randy…”
Morgan and Randy?! Please tell me she’s joking!
I looked over at him and there was a grin on his face.
I rolled my eyes.
I’ve had enough of the nerd heard.
Stupid karma…

[Randy’s Point Of View]

Yes!
Morgan was my partner for the rest of the school year. Well, in English class.
“Go meet and greet with your partner and get started,” Mrs. Evergreen said.
I stood up and walked over to Morgan.
She gave me a half smiled as I sat down.
“So…” she said.
“Um…how about we make a list of all the tings we like and switch when we’re done,”
“Deal,” she said and began to write.
Every now and then she would take out her phone to text.
I wrote my list quickly.
Near the end of the period we switched.
I read over her list and smiled.
We had a lot in common.
The bell rang and we started to pack up.
“My place, after school, five o’clock,” she said before leaving the room.
I simply grinned.
