I've Got Luck

-Two months later-

“That is a wrap!” Our producer Jeff smiles.
We high five and sit down in the studio.
“You guys want to hear it?” He asks.
“Hell yeah,” Ben exclaims.
I smile and Jeff plays us our new, finally completed album.
“Your voice is improving,” Seth says to me.
“Oh gee, thanks,” I reply.
“It’s better, not that it sucked before,” he smiles.
“Thanks,” I chuckle.
We finish up and grab our stuff.
“I’ll see you guys later,” I say as I walk outside.
“Bye,” they call and I get into my truck.
I drive off to the store to pick up some food for dinner. I walk inside and grab some items.
”Ashlynn?” I turn around and see Eric.
“Hey,” I smile, first time seeing him since we had a big talk after we broke up.
“How are you?”
“Good, you?”
“Alright,” he says.
“What have you been up to?”
He shrugs, “nothing really. Just been working. You?”
“Same,” I nod.
“How’s Alex?” He asks quietly.
“I don’t know,” I reply, “I haven’t spoken to him in a couple of months.”
“I thought you two would be dating,” he says.
I shake my head, “I wanted to be on my own for a bit.”
“Oh,” he says.
“How about you? A girlfriend?”
He shakes his head, “I’m not really looking.”
I nod a little in understanding, “well, I should go home and make dinner.”
“Okay. See you around.”
“Bye.”
I walk off to the cash register and pay for my items and I head home. I make dinner and I clean up after. I sit on my couch, pulling out my guitar, ready to start new songs, a new tour and a new life. There’s going to be a new Ashlynn for now on.
