Vacation
-2 weeks later-
Today we were driving down to my hometown for my grandmas 90th birthday party. We were staying for three days since me and my mom missed our family and i missed my friends, i was super excited. We were staying with my aunt Donna and uncle Kevin and my two cousins. It took us about a hour to get to their house, when we got there we went inside and my aunt and uncle were in the livingroom watching tv.
"Hey!" my mom said
"Hey!, we missed you guys!" my aunt said hugging us and then my uncle hugged us
"We missed you to" my mom said
"Hi Alex, hi Steven" my aunt said
"Hey Donna" Steven said hugging her and Alex just waved
"So Kelly and Beth are up stairs in Beths room if you two wanna go up" my aunt said
"Okay, wanna come Alex?" i asked him
"Uhmm...sure" he said and we went upstiars
We got upstairs and i led the way to Beths room, i spent tons of weekends here so it was hard not to remember where her room was. We got to the door and i just went right in without knocking.
"Hey guys" i said
"Renae!" they said and hugged me
"I missed you two" i said
"We missed you to!" they said
"You guys remember Alex right?, my step brother and your cousin" i said and they nodded
"Hey!" Beth said and Kelly waved
"Hi" Alex said
"So who wants to go for a walk?" Kelly asked
"Totally ive missed, well, everything here!, Alex wanna come?" i asked
"Sure" he said unsure
"Your so out of your comfort zone arnt you?" Beth asked laughing
"Mhmmm" he said
"It'll be okay, come on lets go" she said and we went downstairs
We told our parents that we were going for a walk and left. We walked down the street and talked about random things. Alex was silent obviously because he didnt no what we were talking about. We went down to the local coffee shop that me and Beth and Kelly used to go to every friday. We walked in and sat down at a table.
"Wow ive missed this place they make the best coffee" i said
"They totally do" Kelly said
"Im gonna go get coffee, you two want your usual?" Beth asked
"Yeah" me and Kelly said
"Mkay, Alex what do you want?" she asked him
"I dont no ive never been here before" he said
"Thats right you havnt!, sorry. What about lemon tea its what i get and its awesome!" she said
"Sure" he said
"Okay i'll be back" she said and left the table
"So Renae, how everything been?" Kelly asked me
"Good" i said
"Do you have a boyfriend?" she asked
"Nope not yet" i said
"To bad. Make any friends?" she asked
"Basically all Alex's friends are my friends" i said
"Really?" she asked
"Yep" i said
"Im back!" Beth said coming back with the drinks
"Yay!" i said and we all took our drinks
We drank our drinks and talked, it was really fun ive missed hanging out with Kelly and Beth. When we left the coffee shop we decided to have a bon fire and make smores, we walked to the store and got the stuff we needed. We went back to the house and went out back to the fire pit.
"Okay so who wants to make the fire?" Kelly asked
"I vote Beth" i said
"I'll put the wood in but someone needs to light it" she said picking up the wood and putting it in the pit
"I'll light it" Alex said picking up the matches
"Okay dont burn yourself" i said
"I'll try my best not to" he said
