Katastrophic Breakdown

I walked in the cafeteria, greeted by the sound of annoying underclassmen talking too loudly. Among that talk was Matt yelling to me. " Drew! Come Sit With Us!" I smiled as i walked over and sat down with my band. As soon as i sat down, Jarron came in and sat down next to me. " Whats up D?" He asked.
"Aren't you supposed to be in the studio with your band Jarron?" Reese asked.
"Nah, we're on hiatus, which reminds me. If you guys need another guitarist or one of you gets sick, i'm avaliable for a little while" I raise my eyebrow as he says this looking at me like i'm the one who's gonna be replace by him.
"Thanks but no thanks Jarron, you wouldnt keep up with our pace" i said teasingly, but he seemed to take a small offense to that, being the heavy thrash metal guitarist that he is.
"Whatever. do you guys know what song your gonna play for auditions today after school?"

"I was thinking we'd play the song we practiced yesterday. I wanna redeem myself on that solo" said Reese as he took a bite of Matt's sandwich and put it back on Matt's tray. I shook my head at Reese's trickery and looked at Annabeth who caught my eye. We looked at eachother for a minute and an understanding passed between us: we wanna play the new song.

"Actually guys, me and Annabeth have a new song we want to play for auditions. We can spend the next two hours in the band room practicing it."

"What's this new song called?" asked Scott, who looked seriously doubtful that we could learn the entire thing in two hours.

" Its called Famous Last Words and...instead of me singing it, Annabeth will." Everyone stared at me and Annabeth in Disbelief. I just started eating my lunch without another word while she blushed and sank down in her chair.
After School, In The Auditorium

" I still can't believe your letting Annabeth take your spot for auditions" Scott riticuled me as we walked back from our lockers in the band room. " She wanted to sing a song and i wrote one with her, just for her. It's only this once, besides we have nothing to worry about. We practiced it nonstop for 2 hours, we should be good." i said as i gave Scott a push towards his drum set and i moved up to my guitar and tested my mic.

I looked over at Annabeth, she was so nervous, she was taking shallow breaths and her face was bright red from all the attention the Leadsinger gets. I walked over to her and put my hand on her shoulder.
"Calm down, your fine. I'll be singing along with you and I'll stay at your side the entire time. Just do what you did in practice and you'll be fine."
She nodded, and i told scott to count off and Annabeth started singing with my guitar playing

I Start to play the solo and i start to feel like i'm Michael Padget from Bullet for my Valentine, Shredding up the solo and leaving nothing to play.I Continued to play and watching the others. They all looked like they were either having fun or becoming legends in their own right.
