I looked in the mirror my bright blue eyes stared back at me. I put my long black hair in a ponytail and walked out with my bag. I smiled and hopped in the car and drove to my part time job. I parked at next to a beautiful Harley Davidson. I grabbed my bag and walked up to the door. As soon as I knocked I heard a dog barking loudly. I laughed a Bella’s over protectiveness. I saw the door open and a glanced at the petit 5’6 blonde woman. I smiled
“Hi, Mrs. Sanders!” I spoke
“Hi Karine, please doll call me Val….Mrs. makes me feel old” She laughed letting me in. I saw a light brown hair and hazel eye girl run up to me.
“Lily!” I hugged her picking her little five year old body up
“Are you ready to party hardy!?” I told her
“Yes!” She squealed jumping up and down
“Okay but first say bye to momma and papa” I told her
She ran up to Val and kissed her cheek, and then I saw her run and grab my hand. I looked at Val and she smiled letting me go downstairs. I heard drums going off, I felt Lily let go of my hand and run to her father.
“Bye daddy, Karine is taking me to the beach” She told Mr…. I mean Matt a hug and kiss
“When will you be back?” He asked me
“I saw maybe 4 or 5?” I told him
“Okay is it fine if you watch her till ten?” He asked
“Yeah” I nodded
“Okay have her in bed by 8pm” He reminded me
“Yes, Mr. Sanders” I said walking back upstairs with Lily on my back
I walked out and closed the door, I walked to my car and opened it putting the bags in the back along with Lily. I put her in her booster seat and buckled her in good. I hopped in the front and backed out and made out way to the beach.

After Lily got bathed, I quickly showered and walked downstairs. I turned on the TV, I glanced at the night sky and I smiled. I have been working for the Sanders for three years. I heard a scream and I bolted upstairs.
“Lily! What’s wrong?!” I called turning the lights on
“I had a bad dream” She said shaking
“Oh hunny” I hugged her and sang softly to her
“Rine can I sleep while you watch TV?” She asked using my nickname
“Sure” I grabbed her comforter and carried her down I made a little bed on the sofa and let her sleep while I put the TV on low.

I rubbed my eyes and coughed eating some chips. Thank god for my insomnia, I was still up. I heard a car pull into the driveway. I heard the door open and Val and Matt walked in.
“We are so sorry, we had no clue that time flew that fast” Val apologized
“It’s okay, you guys were having fun” I told them getting my things while Val carried Lily upstairs
“But it’s Tuesday and you have school in about 6 hours” Matt said with that tone that said ‘I’m fucking sorry’
“It’s cool I have insomnia remember?” I laughed while I walked out giving my good nights
I drove home and crashed on the sofa. I didn’t even change. My phone alarm woke me up and I looked at the time

I got out and got in my car, I wasn’t really hungry. I got to HB high and parked in the junior’s lot. I skipped like one grade if you were wondering. I got to my locker and threw my shit it in and getting my books. I heard Renee walk up to me….I really don’t have a lot of friends. I keep to myself.
“HEY!” She yelled

She hacked the system so we have the same classes because she is really smart
“So I was thinking after school, we head to the beach and go ‘man hunting’” She insisted

I punched his stupid California boy face in and he knocked my eyes, giving me beautiful shiner. I was pulled away by a teacher. Seeing as I am a girl I didn’t get in trouble because he hit me. I smirked as the principle lectured him. Renee and I decided to skip last period and just go we changed in the car because I have tinted windows. I laid down on the nice spot we found, I laid back and my eyes started to hurt.
“What are you gonna tell your dad?” Renee asked
“He will get a call” I told her

I felt someone tap my shoulder and I turned around. Lily was in her swimsuit and her hair was wet.
