Today was Friday I was suppose to work, I arrive to the house nervous I was going to lose my job. I saw all the guy’s cars parked and pulled right next to the black BMW. I gulped and knocked on the door, I saw Val open the door, and she was smiling and let me in.
“Now we trust you Karine but we need to know more about you.” Matt encouraged me
I looked around me and saw Brian, Zacky, Johnny, Jimmy, Matt, Val, and Michelle.
“Well what do you want to know?” I asked
“Listen hunny don’t be nervous. We have known you for three years” Val smiled
“Well I was born on February 9th, I’m 16 my mom died from cancer when I was little. I live with my dad Mason. I am loyal and honest, I am the best secret keeper. My best friend Lisa died from overdosing on heroin, I got this tattoo for her because she had bright grey eyes. I drink, smoke and love swimming. I fight because I had no defended me my entire life and I was raised like that. Last year I was arrested for getting in a ‘public dispute’ with some guys a bar. My dad works as a fashion photographer for Victoria secret, Chanel and Dior, my godfather is Alexander McQueen. I sing and love to ride my bike. I have been to half of Europe and Half of America. Every day I live in fear because I could get cancer seeing as it runs in my family. I don’t have friends except for Renee and Frank because of a personality disorder. I have schizophrenia, insomnia, and an anger disorder. I was hospitalized for attempted suicide when I was 11 until 12. I listen to techno, rock, metal and that’s about it” I breathed out
They looked at me astonished and in disbelief that I had gone through all of this. Val was on the brink or tears like her twin. Jimmy looked at me like he could relate.
“Shit kid” Zacky breathed
“Yes, I know a lot and I understand if you want to fire me” I spoke nervous
“We don’t” Val and Matt said in unison
“You don’t?” my eyes bulged
“No hunny we just didn’t expect you had gone through that” Val said
“Oh” I mouthed
I heard the door open to reveal Lily, Gena, Lacey and Leana. Lily ran up and hugged me.
“Rine!” She hugged me
“Sup baby doll” I grinned
“Mommy is Rine taking care of me?” Lily asked her mother
“Well we are going to have a big party” She said
“Pool party?” She asked excited
“Yup” and with that everyone scattered around to get ready. I got up ready to leave but Val and Mat stopped me
“You are staying, you need a break” Val smiled
“Are you sure?” I asked nervous
“Damn straight” Matt said
I nodded and helped cook some food and get tables out. I felt Michelle poke me.
“Do you want to borrow a bikini?” She offered
“That would be nice” I smiled
I followed her upstairs and she opened a door leading to guest room. Sometimes was I sleeping when Val wanted to go on tour with Matt for a while. She opened a bottom drawer and handed me a black one with purple splattered everywhere. I thanked her and changed into it. I slipped my shirt over and my shorts. I walked downstairs and brought some food out with Val. I felt Jimmy pull me into the laundry room.
“Listen kid” He started
“If you need someone to talk to you can trust me…I understand it’s tough. But anything at all Jimbo can help” He smiled at me
“Thanks jimmy” I smiled as we walked out
We walked out and ate some food, I laughed as Jimmy flung lettuce at Johnny. Matt told me stories of how they beat poor Johnny up. I received a phone call and excused myself into the kitchen.
“Hi dad” I smiled cheery
“Hunny listen can you watch yourself for about two weeks?” He asked
“Oh…why? Can’t I go with you?” I asked
“Well I’m heading to Paris for Fashion Week and I can’t afford you missing school.” He told me
“Yeah sure no problem” I chocked
“There is more than enough money in your credit card, bye hun. Please be safe” He spoke caring
“Bye dad” I mumbled as the line went dead
I wiped a tear, I honestly hate when my dad leaves it scares me and I get paranoid and think nothing but bad thoughts. I hyperventilated and wiped my eyes with a paper towel. I shrugged it off. I heard the patio door open. I turned and saw Brian standing there.
“Hey are you okay?” He asked concerned

“Were you crying?” Brian questioned
“Yeah, but I’m okay” I assured him
“What happened?” He asked
“My dad is going off for fashion week to work for some designers to shoot their work. Well I can’t miss school, he cares about my education too much” I told him
“All by yourself?” He asked shocked

“Listen is this why you drink?” He asked
“No” I told him bewildered
“Well, if you need anything. I’m here okay?” He told me

“Listen, can you keep a secret?” He questioned

“Well Michelle and I want to have kids but…we can’t” He said
“Oh…hmmm what about adoption?” I told him
“We were thinking but we don’t know what it’s like to have a daughter or son” He told me
“Well you could call a cousin and maybe take their kid in for a week to see how it is” I suggested
“Yes but we wanted a teen because we want to take them touring” He hinted
“Brian I am confused?” I was truly bamboozled
“Well I overheard you will be at home for two weeks and well…” He hinted for me to finish
“Umm” I looked around
“We have known each other for three years?” He asked
“Yes” I nodded
“And you went on tour for a couple of weeks to babysit Lily?” He told me

“Well can you be my ‘sort of not really I need to see if I can handle it daughter’?” He asked trying to find words
