This Ain't a Fairytale

Kate's P.O.V
Once Ryan and I had returned with the bottle of water, Justin jumped to his feet and came running towards us “What were you thinking?” he snapped,
Wow that was a quick mood change, before he was cool with Ryan ‘accidently’ hitting him in the head with the ball, and now he is all crazy over it.
“Justin it was an accident” I said as I jumped in front of Ryan,
Justin shook his head “It was completely on purpose” snapped Justin,
Ryan looked at me, with the word help written all across his face, and then we both stared at Chazz,
And he nodded at us and rested his hand on Justin’s shoulder “No man it was an accident” explained Chaz, “Ryan was trying to kick the ball towards you, but you were too busy ordering around your sister”.
Justin spun around and looked at Chaz and then waited for more of the story, which soon Chaz started to explain to him, I sighed and then looked at Ryan while Chaz made up a complete lie to stop Ryan from getting bashed.
“I’m going to head back home” I said.
Ryan nodded “I will walk you home” he said.
I smiled “Thanks” I said smiling, I tapped Justin on the shoulder and passed him the water bottle “Here is your water, I’m going home”.
Justin didn’t say anything but just watched as I walked away with Ryan.

Once we were back at my house, I walked in the front door and went and sat down on the couch,
I noticed that was a note on the table.
‘Dear Justin,
I have gone away for a couple of days, I’m visiting your father,
Please be good, and Kate will cook dinner and look after you,
Lots of love Mum’

I sighed and looked at the letter, knowing that it was just addressed to Justin,
I looked at Ryan “You better go, since Justin and Chaz are staying at your house tonight” I said,
Ryan nodded and then sat down next to me “But I rather spend the time with you” he said.
I shook my head “You better go before Justin gets suspicious” I said.
Ryan sighed and kissed my cheek ‘I expect my first letter in Justin’s front pocket tonight” he said,
And he climbed over the back of the couch, gave me a little wave and left the house, leaving just a slight slam with the door.

I flicked through the tv channels until I found the music channel, and it was Justin’s song that was playing, I glared at the screen as I watched my brother dance around to his song baby,
Soon it started to get to me, so I grabbed the remote and muted the sound,
With the silence I slowly grabbed my notebook off the table and started to write the first letter to Ryan.

“Dear Ryan,
I really shouldn't be writing this to you, because it's wrong in so many ways. But I can't stop smiling when I think about you. And the time that I have spent with you the last two days. And if getting caught my brother is the worst consequence for writing this to you, then so be it.

Right now you have just left my house, it was a sad moment for me, because I don't even know when I can see you again, when you can embrace me in your arms, and make me feel like I mean something, that I actually have a reason to live.
You should really know I am missing you so much right now, I wish you were with me'

As soon as I was finished writing, I heard Justin’s voice from the otherside of the front door.
I sighed and quickly ripped out the piece of paper and grabbed a envelope and slipped the letter inside and in small letters I wrote ‘To Ryan letter number one’.
And I waited for my brother to walk through the front door.

“Kate I’m leaving soon” yelled Justin from downstairs,
I was sitting in my room staring at the envelope wondering if it was the right thing to use my brother as a postage servicve,
but he wasn't going to find out, so it wasn't like I was using him at all.
But no matter what was going through my head, I still made myself stand up and walk over to Justin's bag,
I kissed the envelope, "I hope you get this" I whispered, and stuck it in the front pocket of Justin's bag.

Before Justin was near I quickly dashed to my bedroom, and waited for the sound of the front door to close,
so I knew I was home alone, and that my letter to Ryan was on it's way.
