“You have your own boyfriend Anna! Stay away from mine!”
Anna remained expressionless while her older sister yelled at her. It wasn’t the first time that Ainslie had caught Anna with one of her boyfriends. The whole lecture was getting old.
“Damn it Anna! Why do you do this to me?” Ainslie cried. “This is the third time in a month! How can you be so heartless?”
Anna shrugged and turned to leave but Ainslie caught her by the wrist. Before she knew it, she brought her hand across Anna’s cheek swiftly. The slap caused Anna’s cheek to tingle but it didn’t hurt her feelings. She didn’t feel ashamed or embarrassed. Nothing.
“Are you going to let me go now?” Anna asked.
Ainslie released her sister immediately.
