A Start of Something New
Cancer sticks
Being in the studio was one of Olivia's best experiances yet. It was huge! The walls were all a deep red color and in each room had either low black carpet or tile. Elivis, the producer, was an older guy that had a similar hairstyle as Jacky. He had two sons that periodically vist the studio.
The 5th day in to recording Scotty had finished all the drum tracks. And Nason started to work on the bass.
"Hey Oli, your 18. Can go to the store and get some cigarettes for all of us?" Nason asked His younger cousin on a short break from recording
"Sure"
"Ok you already know I smoke new ports, right?"
"yeah, I know" the girl nodded
"Get me Camels and Jacky wants Marbles Lights" Derek said as soon as Jacky coasted in the room on his skateboard
"What do I want?" Jacky asked stopping in front of them
"I'm going to the store to get cigarettes"
"I wanna come!" Jacky exclaimed Olivia agreed and they all handed her money.
Jacky and Olivia started walking to the nearest convince store.
"What's going on with this weather?" Jacky asked taking his jacket and hoody off. That morning going into the studio it was in the fortys. But it was in the afternoon and if felt like over 90.
"I don't even know, man" olivia replied swipping off the sweat from under her bangs. Jacky started breathing hard Again "Are you sure you want more cigs? I thought you where trying to lay off"
Luckliy the store wasn't to far away.
"Do want anything to drink?" Olivia asked Jacky heading to the back of the store. They brought alot of snacks and sodas. Olivia chuckled lightly to herself remembering her last adventure to a convinient store as she waited in line
"May I see your I.D?" the clerk asked her after she ordered the cigaretts
"Oh fuck. I think I left my wallet in the studio, Jacky can you show her your I.D?"
"I'm sorry, but I have to see both of yours" the clerk said
"I don't even smoke! These are for my friends besides I am 18." the girl protested the clerk just simply pointed to the sign next to the chewable tabacco that read WE I.D! Anyone under the age of 18 will be unable to purchase tabacco anyone appearing to be under the age of 40 will be asked for idenification when purchasing alcohol
"This ridiculous," Olivia mumbled "Can I just pay for the snacks?" she asked the clerk nodded ringing everything else up. Unfolding the bills Olivia unexpectly found her I.D
"This should've been in my wallet but oh well here this proof I'm 18" Olivia held the I.D in the clerks face. She took and exaimed lt carefully
"OLI!" someone shouted coming in the store Olivia turned around to see Marti Rubels bursting through the doors
"Marti?" was the only Olivia could say before he attacked her in a hug
"I can't breathe!" she managed to gasp as the air in her lungs was running out Marti finally put Olivia down
"What are you doing here!?" they asked each other at the sametime
"I live here!" Marti exclaimed
"I'm here because the guys are working on an album"
"No way! So, how long are you staying here?" Marti questioned Olivia as they walked outside
"about 2 months"
"We need to hang out. Just me you and Ronnie"
"I don't know..." Olivia trailed off
"But, but....OLI!" Marti whined the girl rolled her eyes
"Fine, but me and jacky have to go back to the studio we went on an cigarette arron"
"You smoke now?"
"Oh no not me. The guys needed me to restock their cancer sticks"
"Let me drive you guys back" Marti offered to take them back when. They got back Derek and Ronnie where playing something on xbox in the lobby
"Oh no, it's you! What are you doing here!?" Ronnie shouted when he saw Marti walk through the door
"Ronnie, I missed you!"
"It's only been about a month" Ronnie shook his head
"Marti wants to hangout out today-" Olivia started to explain but Ronnoe just shook his head again.
"You can't just stay here in the studio like it's a walk-in" Ronnie spoke again
"But I thought maybe we could go somewhere" Olivia persisted
"No we have to stay in the studio it's really busy right now . We have to get this done."
"Oh yeah like you're so busy playing video games. You know what, you stay here get stuff done. Whatever, I'm going with Marti. So I might see you guys tonight or tomarrow morning" Olivia declared Marti was jumping up and Down clapping. she handed the bags to Jacky, grabbed her wallet and with out another word left the studio.
