Forever and Always

Paul’s POV

I woke up to the sun shining through the window I had in the roof which shined directly on me and groaned as I rolled over hoping to get a few more minutes of precious sleep but then I remembered what I was going to do today and I shot up in bed with a grin on my face.

I had always had a thing for Analeigh heck when I was 5 I had told my Mom that I would marry the girl one day. We had grown up together and shared everything with one another so I knew that her parents were having problems and Analeigh had told me about the time she had caught her Dad with another person and she told me about how her father looked at her like she was a piece of garbage and I always told myself that I would beat the crap out of him when I was old enough.

I walked over to my chest of drawers and pulled out a pair of cut offs and a t-shirt then I headed out and down stairs to the bathroom where I showered then got dressed. I looked at my reflection in the mirror and saw that I needed a good shave so I grabbed the razor and shaved until my face was smooth then I smiled at myself before I exited the bathroom and jogged into the kitchen where I found Billy and Jacob eating some food.

Jacob looked up at me and whistled then he sniffed the air before he raised a brow and commented
“why did you get so prettied up?” I glared at him then slapped him on the back of the head as I passed and went to the cupboards to find something to eat
“well?” he asked and I groaned before I answered
“I’m not all prettied up, I’m just clean” Jacob snorted
“yeah right, what have you got another girl on the go, did you decide you were gonna sleep with her tonight” Billy looked up and added
“if you do don’t bring her here, I don’t want to hear that stuff” I rolled my eyes and pulled out a box of cereal I found and just opened it up and shoved my hand in then shoved a handful of it in my mouth before I answered
“no I don’t have a girl lined up, I’m going to visit someone” Jacob looked at me hard for a moment before he groaned
“aww you’re gonna go seduce the new girl aren’t you?!” I rolled my eyes
“no I’m not going to seduce her” yet I thought “I’m going to see her, it turns out she is an old friend of mine” Jacob looked confused while Billy rolled out of the room. Jacob raised a brow then seemed to think on it for a moment before a look of shock crossed his face
“Analeigh? Your old friend Analeigh? She’s the new girl?” I nodded and Jacob let out a long breath of air
“wow that’s great!” I nodded then dropped the box on the counter and headed towards the door
“yep and I’m gonna go visit her for the day” Jacob looked confused
“don’t you have patrol today?” I looked back and said over my shoulder
“Leah offered to take it for me” I left the room with Jacob looking at me with shock all over his face at the fact that Leah had done something nice. I left the house and started walking straight through the trees towards Analeigh.

Analeigh’s POV

I stared at Mom as she walked around the kitchen getting breakfast ready, she had just told me she had a job, one I didn’t know about, so now she is getting ready to go to work.
“you’re gonna be the reservation nurse?” I asked slowly, trying to wrap my head around it. Mom turned from her place at the stove and nodded
“yes I am, I was looking around and saw that they were looking for someone so I offered to do it and they accepted me” I looked at her with creased brows
“but you’re not a nurse!” Mom chuckled
“half of the people with jobs here aren’t actually qualified but I think after all the experience I have wrapping you up” she looked at me pointedly and I grinned back sheepishly before she continued “I think I have enough experience to patch up any injuries on the reservation” I pursed my lips and nodded
“ok but seriously a nurse? I can’t imagine you in a lab coat or scrubs” Mom looked at me in disgust
“I am not wearing that! No I’ll just wear normal clothes, I have to go in today only to get the place sorted out, it’s new, they apparently think it would be better to have someone on hand rather than having to go all the way to Forks Hospital” I nodded and Mom smiled then turned back and started making some food.

She was plating up some food when the doorbell rang. I looked at Mom confused and asked
“is someone picking you up?” Mom shook her head then nodded towards the door
“go answer it, see who it is, maybe it’s a neighbour” I frowned
“at 9 in the morning?” but I got up and moved over to the door regardless.

I reached out and turned the handle opening the door and I was shocked to see a large guy stood on the door step. He had short dark hair and dark brown eyes that were staring at me in slight shock and something I couldn’t identify. I bit my lip and their gaze travelled there and settled, I asked hesitantly
“hello? Who are you?” the guy snapped to attention and grinned at me
“Analeigh, don’t you remember me?” I raised a brow and studied the guy, he did look familiar but I couldn’t quite place it, then I looked harder and noticed a scar along his brow extending from the end of his brow to his temple and it clicked in my head
“Paul?” I asked in disbelief, he chuckled and nodded. I gaped a moment before I threw myself at him shouting excitedly. He laughed and grabbed a hold of me in a very strong grip
“well hello there Ana” I was shocked, I couldn’t believe how much he had changed and heck he was damn good looking!

I pulled away though he had to set me on my feet and I looked up at him grinning before I grabbed his hand and yanked him into the kitchen though I’m guessing that it would have been hard to do if he hadn’t followed me, he is big. I pulled him over to Mom and said, excitement clear in my voice,
“Mom Paul is here!” Mom said without looking
“Paul? That boy you used to hang out with, oh I loved that kid” she then turned and grinned but her eyes widened at the sight of him
“Paul?” she asked hesitantly and he nodded back with a grin “well damn boy you grew!” Paul chuckled and replied
“yeah I had a serious growth spurt” Mom nodded
“I’ll say, sit down will you, I’ll add some more food for you and by the looks of it I will need a lot” Paul just chuckled again before he turned and pulled out a chair, it actually seemed kind of small compared to him but I forgot about that as I took the seat next to him and said
“I can’t believe you still live here! I thought you would have moved out to a bigger city” Paul shook his head
“nah I got responsibilities here, I couldn’t leave plus you promised to come back and see me, I couldn’t leave to somewhere you couldn’t find me could I?” he teased and I grinned in response then shook my head
“no I guess you couldn’t” Mom came and sat our plates in front of us, on them were eggs, sausages, bacon, beans, toast, mushrooms, tomatoes etc, Mom had decided we needed a lot of food. I gaped at the amount on my plate but Paul just dug right in, shovelling it into his mouth. I watched slightly horrified and I looked over at Mom to see her trying not to laugh so I shook my head and started to eat my own.

I got half way through before I shoved my plate towards Paul and asked
“do you want that?” he nodded then scraped the food from my plate onto his own and started eating, I grimaced but picked up the plate and took it over to the sink where Mom was stood nursing a coffee, she had eaten hers already. She smiled then glanced at the clock as I immersed my hands in the soapy water
“I have to go now honey, have fun today” I nodded and she kissed my cheek before she patted Paul on the head who looked up and waved before eating his food again.

I rinsed my plate and put it on the rack before I turned at looked at Paul to find him finished and walking over to me with his plate. He smiled and I took the plate from him and washed it while he lifted himself and sat on the counter next to me
“so why are you back here?” he asked though I could hear a note in his voice which told me he already knew but I decided not to bring it up and answered
“I had a problem in California so we came back here, I was planning to after College anyway, I couldn’t stay away from here for too long, I love it here, you know that” he nodded and smiled before he asked
“so where is your Mom going?” I looked at him and smiled proudly
“Mom is the reservation nurse now, she is gonna be the one to patch you up if anything happens to you” Paul raised a brow but then said
“yeah I remember when we were little and you fell out of a tree, she had to put stitches in your head” I frowned
“that was not fun, she gave me no sympathy either” I pouted and Paul smiled lightly before he pulled me over to him and hugged me
“well I did, that should be enough surely” I grinned as I remembered
“oh yeah you were like my personal slave for the rest of that day, you wouldn’t let me do anything, I had to beg to go to the toilet by myself” Paul shrugged
“you might have fallen down the toilet or something, I couldn’t have that” I laughed and shoved him lightly but my hand rested on his chest as I felt how hot he was. I looked up at his face and asked
“why are you so warm?” he shrugged
“it’s my temperature, it’s weird, we don’t know why but it is” I nodded accepting that answer as I moved closer to him
“I missed you” I said breathing in deeply taking in his unique smell. I felt him take a deep breath before he replied
“I missed you too, heck I missed you like hell” I nodded and we just stayed like that for a while.

Paul’s POV

I couldn’t believe it I thought to myself as I sat there holding her to me, I had imprinted on my best friend, my childhood crush, my first love and now my only love. As soon as she opened that door my world tilted until it was on its proper axis and I could see the world better. She was just beautiful, the Californian sun having tanned her where La Push hadn’t being as it’s mainly over cast so no sun gets through, it suited her and made her seem to glow. Her hair was long and soft under my fingers as I ran them through it, it felt like spun silk and her skin was soft, peachy smooth and her scent was driving me crazy, that Vanilla and sex smell that drew me here on the first night she got here. Up close I could tell other notes in there such as Cinnamon and Honey, it all combined to make something uniquely her and I loved it.
