Chapter 61
Analeigh’s POV
I woke to find myself surrounded by Paul’s warmth. It had been three days since my mini break down and things were back to normal though I noticed all of the pack were on edge and I guessed it was to do with the Cullen’s.
I turned over on the bed and looked up into Paul’s face as he slept. I was finding that I was waking earlier just so I could see him before he went on patrol; I think it might be my brain thinking that I was getting more time with him in case something happened.
I reached out with a smirk and ran my hand down his chest and lower under the sheet. He groaned and thrust his hips up as he spoke in a low husky tone
“this had better be real and you had better not be teasing me” he groaned and bucked. I leant up and kissed the hollow of his throat
“no dream and no teasing” I told him before letting him go. He whimpered and reached out to take my hand and place it back where it had been. I giggled and tugged
“come on Paul, let me go” I told him. He opened his eyes and frowned and me
“but you said you weren’t teasing” he pouted, I nodded
“and I’m not but I was thinking of taking this into the shower” I told him. Paul grinned and rolled out of bed, looking back at me
“get a move on then” I laughed and followed after him into the bathroom.
After a very long shower we both got out and dried off before I walked into his kitchen and searched for some food. I found I was in more need of food lately as Paul was taking up all my energy *wink wink*.
I found some oatmeal I had there and some honey and quickly made it before drizzling the honey over the top.
Paul came in and walked over, settling himself between my legs as I sat on the counter. He sniffed my food and made a face
“honey that doesn’t smell very appetizing” he told me. I giggled
“well it wouldn’t to you, carnivore that you are, go eat some bacon” I told him. He pouted at me
“I have to make it myself?” he whined and I giggled once more
“it wouldn’t kill you” I told him, he gave a small huff before smiling and leaning down to kiss me quickly before moving away to get his stuff ready for breakfast.
Paul was about half way through making the bacon when a loud howl sounded out in the forest. Both of us froze before Paul looked to me and I nodded towards the back door
“go do the wolf thing, just make sure you come home safely” I told him, he nodded and came over to kiss me before he walked to the back door and stepped out. I watched through the window as he transformed then loped off into the trees.
I heaved a sigh and dropped my feet to the floor, moving to the cooker and turning the heat off under the frying pan. I then moved into the bedroom and sat on the bed, clutching a pillow and hoping to hell that howl just meant the kid was coming and not that the fight was starting.
Paul’s POV
I arrived at the Cullens and trotted over to the rest of the pack who were gathered there. Sam directed his eyes to me and spoke
“she’s giving birth right now” he said, I dipped my head in acknowledgement though he didn’t really need to tell me as Bella screamed in pain, loud enough to startle the birds from the trees. I looked towards the house, concerned for the human before looking around the pack again
“where is Jacob?” I asked, Jared motioned towards the house
“he’s inside, I don’t envy him” he muttered, I dipped my head again as we all settled in.
Two hours later Jacob came out of the house with a smile on his face. We got to our feet and looked at him wondering what the hell was going on. He quickly transformed and greeted us all merrily
“hey guys”
“what happened in there Jacob?” Sam asked, Jacob’s tongue lolled out as he yipped excitedly
“Bella gave birth to my imprint” he exclaimed joyfully. The whole pack gave noises and looks of shock
“what?” Sam asked incredulously, Jacob nodded
“yep, her name is Renesmee and she is so amazing, all ten fingers and toes with pretty brown eyes” Jacob gushed while we all just looked at him shocked.
It was silent until Embry muttered
“well I’ll be damned, you imprinted on the girl you loves kid” he noted, Jacob looked at him confused for a moment before nodding
“I used to love Bella, I still do but not like that, Renesmee means more to me now, you guys really should see her, she’s already got a power” he said then started to go on about how Renesmee could touch you to show you images she has seen and how he was calling her Nessie because Renesmee was just too long and all sorts of other things.
I wanted to think that this was so wrong, that a werewolf couldn’t imprint on the kid of a vampire but then I knew how imprinting felt, it was all consuming and happened without consent but you wouldn’t change it for the world.
I sighed and looked at Sam
“I’m going back, everything is fine here and Jacob will be here to keep the kid safe when Bella wakes” Sam nodded and I turned and ran back towards La Push.
Analeigh’s POV
I was staring up at the ceiling when I heard the door open. Shooting up from the bed I ran out into the main room to see Paul closing the door. Once he turned around I launched myself into his arms making him chuckle
“I’m fine honey” he said as he placed a hand under my butt to keep me up while sinking the other into my hair. I looked up to stare into his eyes
“what happened?” I asked, he shrugged
“Bella gave birth, a girl by the way and Jacob imprinted on the kid” he told me, my mouth opened in shock
“is that even possible?” I asked, he shrugged
“it must be as it happened” I just nodded before musing
“no wonder he and Bella had a bond” I then looked at Paul and grinned “well I’m glad you’re home” he raised a brow then wiggled them
“how glad?” he asked, I laughed and swatted him
“are you trying to get me in the same state Bella was in?” I asked playfully. Paul paused and stared at me
“hmm, you pregnant, that’s not such a bad idea” he said before throwing me onto the sofa then coming down on top of me as I laughed
“no way Paul” I told him. He just shot me a mischievous look
“then we’ll have to practice until that no becomes a yes” my laugh was cut off as his lips attached to mine then for the rest of the day we practiced... a lot.
