Together Forever

I woke up the next morning and saw Alex sleeping peacfuly and holding my hand, when i saw the ring it all came flooding back. I was engaged, i smiled at the thought of it and got up. I took a shower and put on clothes before i went out to the kitchen to make food. While i was cooking I heard Alex walk in and he walked over sat on the counter swinging his legs.

"Hey babe" he said

"Hey" i said

"So why did you get out of bed?" he asked

"Because i was up" i said

"But that doesnt mean you had to get out of bed, we could have cuddled or somthing" whinned

"Alex you were out cold there wasnt gonna be any of that" i laughed

Just then the phone wrang and Alex leaned over and picked it up, he talked for a few minutes before he held it out to me.

"Its Taylor" he said and i took it

"Hello?" i asked

"Hey future Mrs. Gaskarth, congrats" she said

"Thanks Taylor" i said

"So am i gonna be your maid of honor?" she asked

"I dont no yet" i said

"Damn!" she said

"You'll deffinetly be a brides maid thats for sure" i said

"Really?!" she said

"Of course you've been my best friend since like middle school. I cant not have you be in my wedding" i said

"Great!. Well i just wanted to congradulate you two and also tell you the big news i have" she said

"What is it?" i asked moving bacon onto a plate and carrying the pan to the sink

"Me and Luke are adopting" she said

"What!? but your not even married yet!" i yelled dropping the pan in the sink making Alex jump

"I know but who cares, lots of people have kids when their not married. This is the same thing kinda" she said

"Do you think you two are ready i mean thats a big responsibility" i said

"Yeah were deffinetly ready, we talked about it and we are ready" she said

"Okay" i said

"Yep, and i was thinking since your my best friend you'd come with us to the adoption center" she said

"I- well yeah, yeah i'd love to" i said

"Great we'll pick you up at 2?" she asked

"Perfect" i said

"See you then" she said and hung up

"What was that about?" Alex asked

"Taylor and Luke are adopting" i said

"What?!" he said

"I know, i mean im happy for them and i think their doing a good thing by adopting but it seems so soon" i said

"Yeah" he said

"Im going with them today to the adoption center" i said

"Awesome!" he said

A few hours later Taylor and Luke picked me up and we went straight to the adoption center. We sat in the waiting room and waited to speak to the woman that runs the place and is in charge of the adoptions. After being there for a half hour we finally got called in.

"Im sorry to keep you two waiting, please take a seat" she said as we went into her office

"Its okay" Luke said

"So im Karen Warren i'll be your adoption agent" the woman said

"Hi, im Luke and this is Taylor" Luke said

"Hello, and who is this?" Karen said

"Im Sophie Taylors friend" i said

"Okay, so you two are looking to adopt?" Karen asked Taylor and Luke

"Yes" Taylor said

"Okay, and you guys are married?" Karen asked

"Well, no. But we do live together. Why?, is it gonna prevent us from adopting?" Taylor said

"Well no but you guys have to be in a good stable relationship if your just boyfriend and girlfriend, we cant have the child in a enviorment where there might be to much drama in your relationship. How long have you two been together?" Karen said

"About 5 years" Taylor said

"Alright good" Karen said

"Mhmm" Taylor said

"So is there a certain age group you guys would like to adopt from?" Karen asked

"uhmm toddler" Taylor said

"Okay i'll call someone to bring you guys to the play room" Karen said

She called someone on the phone and ten minutes later a woman walked in and showed us to the play room. The kids were all so cute. We talked to a lot of the kids, some were really shy and some werent. After a hour we went over to the last little girl there she was blonde with bright green eyes.

"Hi sweetie" Taylor said

"Hi!" the little girl said

"Whats your name?" Taylor asked

"Bridget" she sad

"Aww thats a pretty name, im Taylor and this is my boyfriend Luke and my best friend Sophie" Taylor said

"Hi!" Bridget said i could see Taylor was falling in love with this little girl

"So Bridget, would you be okay with it if me and Luke adopted you?" Taylor said

"Really?!" she squeeled happyily which made Taylor smile

"Yes really" Taylor said

"Otay" Bridget said

"Awesome, were gonna go talk to Mrs. Warren okay?, we'll see you later" Taylor said and Bridget hugged her

"Bye byes!" Bridget said and we went back to Karens office

"So Taylor, Luke. Have you found a child you like?" Karen asked

"Yes, Bridget" Taylor said

"Okay!, you just need to sign these papers here and here" Karen said showing them the papers and where to sign

"Alright" Taylor said and they both signed

"Okay and by tuesday and everything should be all set and you can come get her" Karen said

"Thank you" Taylor said

"Thanks" Luke said

"See you two tuesday, bye Sophie" Karen said and i waved and we left

I cant believe Luke and Taylor are gonna be parents...
