I'm a Teenage Girl Teaching at an All Boys School for Delinquents

Meeting the leaders

I took in a calming breath as the students started pouring into the room. Most of them stopped talking when they saw me and I felt my face heat up. None of them sat down, instead they decided to sit with their friends and whisper, and I knew it was about me. I looked over at Blake and saw that he had split into two. I looked at him shocked, he saw me looking and smiled. I smiled slightly and he decided to walk over to my desk. He smiled at me kindly,

“Hey, I showed Mathew the money.”

“Mathew?”

“Oh! I forgot to tell you!” He exclaimed, “I have a little brother.” The boy beside him rolled his eyes,

“Just because you were born first doesn’t mean I’m little.”

“Does too. Anyway, you can tell us apart because he’s got the snake bites.” Mathew chuckled,

“Blake here wanted to get them too but our mum said no cause she wouldn’t be able to tell us apart.” I nodded,

“I can see where she’s coming from.” Mathew yawned,

“So. You gonna start the class?” I bit my lip and looked around at the chatting students,

“Uh, I don’t really know how to get them to stop.” Blake shrugged,

“I’ll help since it’s you’re first day and i also owe you.” I smiled. He grinned and turned to the class, “Alright! Everyone sit down. Now!” He ordered. Half the class sat. I wondered why the other half didn’t sit, that thought was soon answered,

“We don’t have to listen to you Blakey! Just because Sean’s not here doesn’t mean you can just boss us around like we’re you’re bitches.” Mathew tensed,

“What did you say you blonde haired rat!” Mathew spat back, “We’re not doing this ‘cause we want you to follow us. I wouldn’t dream of having dipshits like you in my gang. We’re doing this because we need to start class shit for brains.” I growled,

“Don’t use that language in this class please.” Mathew sighed,

“Fine. Just trying to help.”

“Just sit down so we can start!” Yelled someone from one side of the room. Suddenly the room exploded with shouting and arguing. I let out a frustrated groan, I looked at both Blake and Mathew who were smiling sheepishly,

“Sorry. Should ‘ave known this would have happened.” I waved them off,

“It’s alright, you had the best intensions. I shouldn’t have let students try to get control of my class anyway.” They nodded,

“But you know. Still. Sorry.” The corners of my mouth turned up a little. My head shot towards the now closed door as a loud bang came from it. The whole class went silent, I heard the feint sound of grunting from outside. I hurried to the door and opened it, only to see two boys in a heated fist fight. My hand flew to my mouth and the blonde boy swung a bunch at the boy with black hair. I jumped when I heard someone beside me. It was Blake,

“Um. Not to tell you how to do your job or anything. But... shouldn’t you stop them?” I bit my lip, he was right. I had to try and stop them, but only question was how.

“Uh...” I tried, “Please stop.” I whimpered, I heard a snort from my right and saw that it was Mathew,

“Gonna have to do better than that to get them to stop.” Out of nowhere, the black haired boy made a comeback and shoved the blonde haired boy off him. He stumbled back and bumped into me. He spun around like he just realised there were people watching. His blue eyes scanned me cautiously. He sighed and put his hands in his pocket like nothing had ever happened, he pushed past me and into the classroom where it was eerily quiet. The boy went right to the back and sat down; I turned back to the boy with black hair. He wiped his now bleeding lip on his sleeve and smiled at me,

“Hey there.” I rushed to him and started checking him over,

“Are you alright?!” He shrugged and nodded towards the blonde boy,

“Yea. That dickhead Sean couldn’t hurt me even if his life depended on it.” I knew that the blonde haired boy named Sean had heard, he just chose not to say or do anything. I started pulling on the boys arm,

“Come on. You’re going to the nurses.” He looked at me puzzled,

“Why?”

“Because you’re lip’s split and you need to get it disinfected.” He rolled his eyes but didn’t complain.
We finally arrived back at the classroom. It was once again in a heated battle, this time Mathew and Blake were in it too. I looked around; the black haired boy who i learned was named Maxi just calmly sat down at the front. I put my hand to the bridge of my nose,

“Maxi. Maxi. I’ve heard that name before.” I smiled when i realised where I’d heard his name. Blake had mentioned it when we were talking about the gangs. I smiled at him,

“Hey. Can you do me a favour? Can you tell you’re group to sit down and stop fighting?” He sat back and smirked,

“I’m sorry. You seem like a nice girl but I’m gonna have to be a dickhead here and say no. I like the way that their fighting back at that-“ I winced when a loud whistle echoed around the room. I glared at Sean who had his fingers to his mouth to help him whistle,

“Guy! Just sit down! Fuck! Is it really that hard?” He ordered,

“But Sean-“

“Oh I’m sorry! I didn’t realise you were in the position to backchat me! Jace, just shut your mouth and listen to the woman who’s trying to help you in life!” The boy who i guessed was Jace scowled at me but sat down anyway. The half that closest to Sean also sat down. I sighed and clapped my hands,

“Time to finally start.”
