A Hard (Love) Life
The Date
Cameron's POV.
After school and hanging at Zach's house, me and Joey went out on our date, my first date.
We were just walking around town, holding hands.
"Where do you want to go?" I ask.
"Hmm, I'm hungry, a cafè?" She asks.
"Sure". I say.
"RACE YOU THERE!" She yells, and takes of running!
"HEY, NO FAIR, CHEATER!" I yell after her and I take of running too!
We get to the cafe and get food, me paying for it all, we sit down and just start talking and eating.
About three minutes later, we hear Zach's and some girl's voice.
Soon, Zach and a pretty looking girl about Joey's age comes up to us.
"Hiya". We all said at the same time.
"Who is she?" I ask, pointing to the girl.
Zach says: "Summer."
I nod, "She is...". I ask.
Zach says: "Huh?" "Oh yeah". My girlfriend." He was now grining.
I raise my eyebrows. "Girlfriend?" I ask.
He nods, "What about you two?" He points towards Joey.
I look at her, and rise my eyebrows again. Joey and Summer were giving each other the evil eye, clearly they didn't like each other.
"We are on a date." I say."
"DATE!?!?!?!?" Zach practically yells.
Dude, calm down! I say.
"WHY?!?!" Zach practically yells again.
"I love her, she loves me." I say.
"LOVE!?!?!?!?" Zach practically yells again.
"Dude, calm down!" I say again.
Zach looks like he's in shock.
He glars at me. "We'll talk later." He hisses at me.
I was now in shock too.
He grabs Summer's hand, "Come". He says to her. They leave.
"Who is she?" I ask Joey.
"Who, Summer?" I nod.
She clears her throat. "Five words, please excuse my language, total slut and total bitch."
I stare. "Really?"
She nods.
"Wow, how do you know her?"
Well, she's 16 too, so she's in my classes. And she's a popular kid." Joey says.
"Ahh".
"Just be careful, she's a trickier. She makes any boy fall for her. She was always flirting with Nate, he almost fell for her. Be careful".
I nod. "I will. Wait! She flirted with Nate?"
Joey nods. "Yup."
"Wow!"
Joey laughs. "Is that all you can say?"
I shrug.
She laughs again.
We start gazing into each others eyes.
Joey has the most beautiful violet eyes ever.
